As for lunch, if you take a break off the beach, absolutely the best cooking I've had in my ten two week trips to Roatan. The restaurant's included breakfast is by menu, with many excellent choices in a nice air-conditioned dining area with the most comfortable seating areas I've found in Roatan.
Carlos will plant an umbrella so you can relax in the shade on a lounge when not relaxing in the sea. On your way back to your room, take a dip in the beautiful pool and relax on a covered bed.
The entire staff at La Placita functions like a tight knit family, that quietly helps in any way you request. On my solo trips to La Placita, I've enjoyed getting to know the staff, and in my four visits in the last two years, the staff is the same.

La Placita is a secret in West Bay Beach that has been too good to share for four trips. As a person vulnerable to no-see-ums, La Placita leaves me bite free and that factor is huge.
