The Rennsteig-Residenz holiday home is situated in a central and quiet location in the "Premium Class" climatic health resort of Friedrichroda. It was extensively renovated and modernised in 2025. From here it is only a few steps to the town centre with shops, shopping facilities and restaurants serving Thuringian and international cuisine.

The Rennsteig-Residenz holiday home is tastefully, friendly, cosy and modernly furnished. A welcome drink awaits you on arrival as a special service. An initial supply of bed linen, towels, bath towels, tea towels and bathrobes also awaits you on arrival. The landline telephone and WLAN can be used free of charge. A high chair and a cot or travel cot are also available on site. Free information material about excursion destinations and sights in the region is available to help you plan your holiday.

In the communal garden you will find a children's play swing, a double basket swing, slide, playhouse, sandpit, small trampoline and table tennis is available on request, depending on the weather. On the property we offer you a barbecue area with garden furniture and a Thuringian barbecue for free use. A car park or a parking space under the carport round off the offer.

With the spa card you can use public transport (buses, trains and the Thuringian Forest Railway) around the spa town free of charge. Please note that this is a non-smoking house. Smoking is permitted on the terraces. Pets are not allowed.

The climatic health resort "Premium Class" Friedrichroda is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Thuringia, alongside Oberhof, Weimar and Erfurt. Friedrichroda enjoys a favourable climate in the north-west of the Thuringian Forest on the Rennsteig, the longest high-altitude hiking trail in Germany. Visit the Marienglashöhle, one of the most beautiful gypsum crystal grottos in Europe, or hike to the Großer Inselsberg (916 metres above sea level), the highest point in the western Thuringian Forest. Friedrichroda is the ideal starting point for excursions to Gotha (14km), Eisenach (28km), Oberhof (30km) and Erfurt (40km). Anyone interested in castles and palaces will get their money's worth here. The Wartburg-Eisenach, Mühlburg-Mühlberg, castle ruins Gleichen-Wandersleben, Veste Wachsenburg-Holzhausen, castle ruins Neideck-Arnstadt, castle Wilhelmsburg-Schmalkalden, castle Friedenstein-Gotha, castle Elisabethenburg-Meiningen and many more are looking forward to your visit.

On approx. 50 square metres you will find a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom with shower, hallway and a covered terrace. The holiday home is designed for two to three people and is available for rent all year round. It is heated by central heating. In the living room, a corner sofa (extendable), a 50-inch SMART TV and a radio with CD player invite you to linger. If the weather doesn't play along, board games and books will keep boredom at bay. The window from the living room can be darkened by an external blind. From the living room you enter the modern kitchen. This has been equipped with all the important kitchen utensils. In addition to two electric hobs, you will also find a fridge with freezer compartment, a microwave, a coffee machine, a kettle, a toaster, an egg cooker and a safe. In the living room, a table with several chairs invites you to eat together after cooking and preparing meals. The separate bedroom has a double bed with modern memory foam mattresses, 2 bedside cabinets and a sideboard with lots of drawers to store your wardrobe. The window here can also be darkened with the help of an external blind. The tiled bathroom also leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to a shower, the bathroom is also equipped with a WC, mirror, hairdryer, bathroom cabinet, stool and an electric fan. In the hallway you will find a wardrobe, cushions for the patio furniture and an ironing board and iron. For your safety, there is a six-kilo fire extinguisher, a first aid kit and a fire blanket in the holiday home. There is also a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector for your safety.

The holiday home is surrounded by a large, communal, green and well-kept garden. You have a separate entrance. On the covered terrace you will find a table with 2 comfortable outdoor armchairs (adjustable), 2 chairs and cushions, a parasol and a clothes horse. Several bins for waste separation and patio lighting round off the offer. In the summer months, all the patio furniture is at your disposal. A bench can be used in the winter months.
