The beds are horrible, very hard, can feel the springs stabbing you in the back, I woke up the first night at 4am with a horrible migraine from the springs in my back and ended up sleeping on a two seater couch for the remainder of my stay. Asked for an extra pillow, was declined. Breakfast and dinner buffet was good selection and staff was nice to us. "

"I never would have believed that the best meal of my Japan trip would be French food cooked in the shadow of Mt. Fuji, but life is funny sometimes. This place is FANTASTIC! From passing Google translate back and forth with the sweet proprietor, to soaking in the private onsen after a long day of walking, to watching Mt. Fuji out my hotel window, I loved every second of staying here. The location is fantastic as well - it's about a 10-minute walk from the touristy areas of lake Yamanaka, but that small distance makes all the difference in terms of peace and quiet at the end of the day. Can't recommend this place enough. And again: get the dinner package!!"
