In the rush to our next destination, I accidentally left behind my bag containing my passport and wallet. After contacting the hotel, the team went out of their way to personally deliver my belongings to our next location. That level of care, honesty and dedication is incredibly rare and deeply appreciated. I cannot recommend Sense Fuji enough. If you’re visiting Mount Fuji—or Japan in general—this is an absolute must-stay"

"The walls are literally paper thin and someone was partying until 4am so we didn’t sleep. You can hear a door close from the other side of the hotel. Wouldn’t recommend if you like sleeping. "

"I never would have believed that the best meal of my Japan trip would be French food cooked in the shadow of Mt. Fuji, but life is funny sometimes. This place is FANTASTIC! From passing Google translate back and forth with the sweet proprietor, to soaking in the private onsen after a long day of walking, to watching Mt. Fuji out my hotel window, I loved every second of staying here. The location is fantastic as well - it's about a 10-minute walk from the touristy areas of lake Yamanaka, but that small distance makes all the difference in terms of peace and quiet at the end of the day. Can't recommend this place enough. And again: get the dinner package!!"
