Selv om man kan sette fingeren på noen småting er Estalgem Monte Verde et herlig sted å bo. Resepsjonisten en hyggelig og serviceinnstilt person. Kunne vært litt mer å velge mellom til frokost, men likevel, det var nok mat og man ble mett. Man legger seg ikke inn på dette stede for å spise gourmet, men for å oppleve å ha tilgang på Madeira. Kort spasertur til sentrum. Koselig lite terrasse. Utrolig mange spisesteder i nærområdet. Parkeringskjeller er perfekt. Reint og ryddig hver dag med oppredde senger. Hyggelige gjester. Noen småting som wifi, og nettkontakt burde vært bedre og litt ryddigere uteområdet. Kunne vært en kaffekoker på rommet. Utsikt fra rommene mot sjøsiden er kjempeflott.

Excellent Value!

What a fabulous little property! Located a short and pleasant 15-20 minute walk from the center, the hotel is situated on the hillside allowing the front rooms to have views of the sea and the back rooms to have views of the garden courtyard with birds chirping. The room was an excellent value, as it was nice and large with a full bath, and there was ample parking on the tiny street alongside the hotel as well as on the nearby streets. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly, ready with tips on Funchal and the island. I would skip the hotel breakfast and walk 3 minutes down the little alley to the local cafe next to the supermarket. Only downside of the hotel was an odd and very strong smell in the reception area. Luckily, it did not permeate into the rooms. Hotel could use some upkeep, especially the carpets, but really a lovely structure and no major complaints. I would absolutely stay here again!

Everything you need in lower price range

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and OK rooms. Book exchange library in case you forgot or ran out of your own reading material. Decent location just outside the center with own parking garage. Slightly overenthusiastic floor waxing/cleaning in rooms. A wet mop would do the job just nicely, whatever they used left a strange waxy feel with the smell persisting all day even with windows open.

Small local hotel

I was looking for a smaller place that would not look identical to other places somewhere else. Monte Verde is a bit set back from the street making it more quiet. There is beautiful greenery on the property and most rooms have a balcony. Rooms are simple but clean. Breakfast staff was always delightful and helping. I would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Camere con moqnette dal colore indefinibile, l'odore . . anche ! Bagno con vasca "oscena" . Questa la n.101 . Cambiato camera: la n.207 senza moquette. L'arredamento, il bagno e la pulizia sullo stesso livello.

Viagem de 3 dias para conhecer a Ilha da Madeira. Apesar de não ter passado quase nenhum tempo no hotel, o mesmo tem uma excelente localização e os funcionários foram bastante atenciosos e simpáticos. Recomendo para quem previlegiar uma relação localização/qualidade/preço.

Existe un olor permanente a desagüe bastante desagradable en la recepcion.Las habitaciones no tienen este problema. El desayuno justo, pero adecuado, echamos de menos aceite y algun dulce mas. La habitacion limpia, auque tuvimos que solicitar toallas dos días porque solo nos dejaban una para los dos y tambien tuvimos que solicitar dos veces mas almohada porque eran muy finas y el primer dia no noshiciceron caso. La habitacion con muy buenas vistas. En general bien, el personal amable y dispuesto a ayudar en todo momento, auque a veces un poco despistado; en general bien. Es un Hotel recomendable para concoer la Isla.

Accueil plus que moyen! Etat de la chambre déplorable, moquette sale, robinetterie qui fuie (le débit d'eau nul). le petit déjeuner un peu tard (8h30) et ne vaut pas le coup!! Le descriptif parle d'un parking gratuit c'est faux en plus c'est le critère qui nous a poussé à choisir cet établissement !! Quand on demande où est la place de parking, il nous réponde "the parking is full" alors que l'hotel ne l'est pas.... on paie pour une prestation et on ne l'a pas. La solution de l'accueil est de nous garder dans l'impasse en pente (très pratique). La literie est de mauvaise qualité. Bref je ne conseil pas cet hotel même pas au madèrien!! le regret de nous vacances

Überbuchung

Zimmer konnte trotz ordnungsgemässer Buchung wegen Überbuchung nicht bezogen werden. So etwas darf nicht passieren. Personal unprofessionell und ungepflegt. Unadäquater Ersatz wurde geschaffen . Insgesamt ärgerlich. Sollte von Ihrer Liste verschwinden.

Cheap and well-located

Deliberately chose this hotel for its location and price. Hotel not signposted, not too easy to find. Guy on reception, when he arrived, out of breath and put out, signed me in, took the payment (just) but wasn't clear at all in his directions to the room - had to run around and ask again, more short-tempered frustration on his part. Room, for the price, great - sea view, clean, comfortable, quite spacious. WiFi works in lobby. Small swimming pool in summer. Different receptionist the next day - the epitome of sweetness and professionalism. Didn't have the breakfast.

Très bon rapport qualité prix

Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour dans cet hotel où nous avons passé 13 nuits. il est bien situé, à 30mn a pied du centre ville et bien desservi par les bus (4 ou 24). la chambre était spacieuse, confortable et propre, (idem pour la salle de bain )et avait un balcon bien agréable. l'environnement est assez typique (végétation) et les restaurants aux alentours pratiques, bons et peu onéreux. le personnel est accueillant, sympathique et à l'écoute. le petit déjeuner est tout à fait satisfaisant. la piscine, bien qu'étant un peu ancienne et pas très grande, peut néanmoins dépanner , l'espace autour mériterait un peu plus d'entretien...dommage ! Ce n'est pas le point fort de l'hôtel, mais peu importe, on passe son temps a visiter l'île et on peut se baigner ailleurs...!

Ein wundervolle Woche auf Madeira. Lage des Hotels ruhig, in nur wenigen Gehminuten gute Restaurants/Kneipen. Sehr freundlicher Service und gute & unkomplizierte Vermittlung eines kostengünstigen Mietwagens; direkt vor der Tür kostenfreie Parkmöglichkeit. Zimmer mit kleinem Balkon, kleiner Pool am Haus; W-Lan ist superpraktisch gewesen; Hotel/Zimmer insgesamt sehr sauber. Frühstück mit wenige Abwechslung, aber sonst ok. Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir würden wieder im Monte vVerde buchen!

una notte da film!

Ho soggiornato qui 2 notti. Sono arrivata qui verso le 4 del mattino, avevo scelto questo hotel anche per il servizio di reception 24 h. Appena arrivati in reception non troviamo nessuno se non un cartello sotto kl campanello con scritto "ring the bell please".abbiamo suonato una trentina di volte, abbiamo fatto squillare il telefono ma nulla...abbiamo svegliato una ragazza che alloggiava nel hotel ed è cominciata la ricerca pazza per tutto l'albergo di qualche addetto.alla fine dietro albanco reception abbiamo trovato una stampa della mia prenotazione expedia con delle chiavi di una stanza.le abbiamo prese e abbiamo lasciato un biglietto in reception. Una scena da film! Il soggiorno comunque è stato piacevole e il personale non sapeva più come scusarsi dell'accaduto! Alla fine ci hanno permesso anche di lasciare la stanza alle 13.30 anziché alle10.la stanza era pulita ma chiedete una camera col terrazzino, la nostra aveva solo una finestra . c'è anche una oiccola piscina, non curatissima ma se non avete molta voglia di andare al mare è un buona alternativa, anche per il fatto che non è per niente affollata e ci si può rilassare

Läget helt OK, Om man är i god kondition.

Det utlovades Pool, men den fungerade inte ( Läkte som ett såll ) och var dåligt rengjord. Unken lukt från möbler och mattor ( vilket jag påtalade på ett fint , sätt ). Saknade Kyl !!!!!
