Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel & World Heritage Site

"The Pestana Vintage Porto hotel is in a fantastic location, right by the river in the Ribiera district. In fact, during the daytime, one of the most happening places is right in front of the hotel where hundreds of people gather at nearby cafes. For that reason, I'm glad we did not pay extra for a river view room, instead our window faced the small back street behind the hotel (which has a number of restaurants). So it was quiet at night. The service at the hotel was great, we arrived an hour before checkin time but they gave me the keys right away. The room was very comfortable and clean, some have mentioned the glass door on the shower but there is a curtain for privacy so no issues with that. Also the hotel provided a really good bottle of red wine for us because of my Expedia status. Breakfasts are amazing! Many choices including a fine selection of local cheeses, port, mimosas, pastel de nada, many desserts, many kinds of fresh fruit, eggs, bacon. My only complain is the "health club" is a tiny room with hardly any weights, so not much use. But I would stay here again for sure."

"This is the perfect hotel in the perfect location, everything worth seeing is a brief walking distance away and the Trindade train station is a short walk away to make the airport to hotel journey (and vice versa) very easy. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, the exceptional customer services across the reception, the breakfast room and the room cleaning services. All staff are a credit to this hotel and it was nice to be remembered from my previous stay as that was a nice welcome back, adding to making this a perfect place to stay. The facilities are fantastic; the rooms are very comfortable with a bottle of water included each day in your room and tea and coffee topped up so you can enjoy a hot drink at the end of the evening, the bath products are a luxury quality and the breakfast has so many delicious, great quality choices so much so that you can have a different breakfast each day. The breakfast room setting is quite special and reminded me of a miniature version of the London crypt café. There is absolutely nothing to find fault with."
