"We would highly recommend this hotel. We had a very comfortable, relaxing stay. Breakfast was plentiful and all freshly cooked. Our room was spacious, and very close to the spa, late afternoon swims and relaxing in the sauna and steam room was a luxury. We ate each evening in the dining room lots of choice, staff were very attentive and food was delicious. "

"The room + bathroom were slightly smaller than expected for a 'deluxe', but it was very comfortable. Breakfast and especially dinner were delicious. We're not used to the pre-order system for breakfast so would rather choose on the day - but for reasons of saving wastage we can understand why. We were very impressed with the option to visit the manor for free as it's within the estate - we are NT members anyway, but it was refreshing to be offered the option. Bed was very comfortable & room temperature easily adjustable. one negative: no trouser hangers."

"We did not receive any check in instructions by 2pm on day of stay. Called host to ask for them. On the call the host said the stay was not available and cancelled. If we didn’t call to ask for the check in instructions we wouldn’t even have known. They didn’t have the courtesy to tell us in advance. We were in the area for a wedding so we needed a place to stay overnight regardless. I don’t understand how one can have a confirmed reservation and the host can just decide to cancel on a whim (on the day of check in itself!) and the only recourse is to get a refund??? Never again. "

" We stayed at this property based on its 9.4 rating and ‘Deluxe’ descriptions. Nothing could have been further from the truth.No road access to the property. Very difficult public parking up to 300 metres away. Brown, bulging, water stained ceilings. Chipped and cracked paint on woodwork and walls. Incredibly uncomfortable sofa and beds. Heating system non-operable on arrival - took 5 days to fix. Insufficient China, glassware and cutlery for 6 people. Disgusting cookware. Garden looked like a jungle, full,of weeds and overgrown. This property is poorly maintained by the owner who lives In Manchester and is clearly only interested in making money, not providing customer satisfaction.Photos available to back up all the above statements.All of this reported to the Owner and VRBO who refused to take any action or to offer a refund for our 27 night stay in this property.DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY."
