"Would not recommend the family suite (the room in the turret) - there is no aircon in the bedrooms and the space is oppressive and really dangerous for kids: there is a floor level window with no ability to lock it and a sheer drop on the other side. Totally inappropriate to our families with small children in this room. We asked to swap rooms but they could not accommodate - even though the property was definitely not at capacity. Breakfast was really disappointing; especially as this was an extra charge. Bland cereal, limited fruit and slices of cheese - no offer of coffee at the table - just a machine that didn’t work. Not good at all. Asked for a late checkout as none of us had slept properly owing to the lack of aircon in bedrooms (despite the room being advertised as having aircon) - and they refused; again - despite the check in time not being until 5pm… so even if they’d let us stay until 1pm they would have still had 4 hours to clean the room. Then when I checked out the hotel tried to charge me for the room again, despite already paying on hotels.com - but she couldn’t find my confirmation on her emails. Weird and frustrating all round. She did offer 100eur off due to the lack of advertised aircon - but this didn’t really make up for the experience. The food at dinner was really lovely though and I can imagine this would be a nice place for couples or solo travellers. But a disappointing stay for us."

"I found this to be a traditional Chambre d'Hôte, where you don't feel you are in a hotel but rather a guest in the house of the owners. My room was comfortable and quiet, the breakfasts were very good, and the hosts were welcoming. What more do you need? The house is about a 10-minute walk from Gaillac across the river. It is also a fairly short drive into Albi, which is a small city that is well worth exploring."

"There were three things that let the house down. The first problem was a totally inadequate WiFi. To get a good signal you had to be in the little room where the box was. The WiFi was weak in the bedrooms and very poor in the garden. In this day and age that is not good enough.Secondly the grass in the garden was very overgrown and simply needed cutting. Both of those could be easily fixed and you would have a great house. The rooms are lovely and the Garden really good especially for a town house.The only other down side was that the pool was not heated. We knew that when we booked but it would have made an enormous difference to the holiday had it been heated. We were there in Mid may and it stopped a lot of people using the pool, and is likely to make us look elsewhere next year."
