"We'd definitely recommend The Squirrel's Nest. A lovely house and owners. Our room was great, spacious en suite bathroom, air conditioning which with temperatures of 40 degrees outside (canicule), was really appreciated, tea and coffee making facilities on the landing. An easy walk into Gaillac for dinner (bring a torch) and not far from routes to Albi and Toulouse. Breakfast outside in the shade of trees and the company of other guests and our hosts was delightful. Croissants, bread, homemade...

"The hotel was beautiful and very authentic, with lots of original features. The pool was a great facility as it was around 30 degrees when we arrived after a long journey. It was beautifully clean and had stunning views. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the sunny courtyard. A wonderful stay!"

"We were absolutely enchanted by our stay at Nicole and Francois incredible home. The ancient home is filled with books and antiques and is lovely and special at every turn. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. The garden and pool was amazing. Completely private, yet right in town near all services. "

"I found this to be a traditional Chambre d'Hôte, where you don't feel you are in a hotel but rather a guest in the house of the owners. My room was comfortable and quiet, the breakfasts were very good, and the hosts were welcoming. What more do you need? The house is about a 10-minute walk from Gaillac across the river. It is also a fairly short drive into Albi, which is a small city that is well worth exploring."
