"Lovely setting but no one there to give us the key even though we’d sent 2 emails requesting info regarding collection with time of arrival. Noise from 9pm TIL 4am so couldn’t sleep. Dog faeces on paths. Toilet broken. No microwave. Needs updating and cleaning of the shower room. Lounge and bedroom roomy and comfortable. "

We were completely ignored by passing staff regardless of the fact that there were four of us standing around with our bags to check in. We eventually got greeted by an abrupt member of staff. "I have stayed at the Earl many times over the decades. The staff haven't changed and i think this is an indication of how well the hotel is ran. The ladies on reception and breakfast are lovely. This time we had room 406, lovely big room overlooking carpark. Very quiet. Highly recommend "

The stay at forest pine hotel was spectacular and me and the wife managed to recharge our batteries and relax even better than planned.

"This is our go to hotel when I bring my daughter up to visit her family , everything about this hotel I love. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is delicious with so much choice. The lay out of the hotel is great. Rooms are modern and clean and comfortable. The view of the racecourse is an added bonus. I don’t follow horse racing but I live the view. "
