Quietly situated holiday residence with a shared pool and its own hand-weaving enterprise on site
This property is a 300-year-old farmhouse and originally belonged to the Fattoria di Brolio. It is right as the heart of Chianti Classico and is very close to the famous Castello di Brolio. The property is in a quiet and idyllic valley in the midst of cypresses and an oak forest. Behind the house there is the Dudda stream.
The site comprises a holiday house, Capanna, for two people, and a holiday apartment, La Loggia, for four people. It is possible to rent the two together, if you would like to spend a holiday with family or friends, but still have your own space. Both units have a fridge, coffee machine, toaster, satellite TV and garden furniture. The owners also live in the main house on the first floor, on this special and harmonious site. The family has a dog called Lucky, three cats, ducks and hens, and you will be greeted in the morning by the crowing of the cockerel. This is an ideal setting for quiet moments, while “civilisation” is nearby.
Heating is available at a fee (calculated according to meter). A cot can be provided at a supplementary charge, to be indicated in advance. There is an external laundry room. A mobile grill can be provided on request. The residences are suitable for families with children. They are not wheelchair-accessible. Pets are not allowed. Long-term rentals are welcome.
There is a hand-weaving enterprise on site, run by the owner. Everyone is welcome to visit this atelier with its traditional old weaving chairs and valuable individual pieces. In the garden there is a shared pool measuring 7.3 x 3.6m and a depth of 1.2m, open from June to September. The access road is 200 metres long, is not asphalted but in good condition. There is parking space on site.
It is a perfect place to recover from everyday stress and an ideal starting point for trips to historical towns such as Siena, Florence, Arezzo and the medieval towns of Montepulciano, Pienza and San Gimignano. The nearest shops are in Gaiole (about 7km), along with a post office, banks, a pharmacy and restaurants.

Annex with a private terrace This is a detached former hay barn with 72m² of living space with a private terrace and a pergola, suitable for a small family with a child (max. 14 years). The ground floor has an open, well-equipped kitchen, with a dining space and fireplace stove, as well as a big living room with a sofa bed (80 x 200cm). At an intermediate level behind the tower there is a bedroom that is open to the living room with a double bed (180 x 190cm) and a bathroom below it with a shower, WC and bidet. This accommodation has been decorated with hand-woven works from the on-site atelier. It is possible to add a cot.
