"Lovely motel-style hotel. Small rooms but very clean and comfortable. One drawback is that the bathroom door is a sliding door that doesn't cover the doorway completely, so there is no real privacy in the bathroom. The food was not great and the service was very slow. They did compensate us for the problem with their service."

"The property is absolutely lovely with a beautiful courtyard and a communal lounge area. The location cannot be beaten, you can see Les Arenes at the end of the street and it's just 5 minutes walk to anywhere in the city centre of Nîmes. It is a safe and quiet area too. Our room was spacious, well decorated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The host of the property, Jean-Luc, was so warm and welcoming. He gave us great advice on the area and even booked us a table...

We chose Hotel de l’Ampitheatre for its proximity to the train station and the sights, and high ratings. We were not disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and charming, and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. It felt like a lovely little Inn.
