This restaurant has been in Galax, Va for many years. They serve old fashioned burgers, hotdogs and milkshakes for cheap. I feel like this represents the Appalachia region because it represents community. Every time I have been in this restaurant, it feels like your home. Everyone is so kind and the people who are customers all know each other who are natives to Galax. I think that the the atmosphere of this drive in/dine represents the entire atmosphere that I have gotten from people in this region of the United States. People are always so kind to each other and make you feel like you belong no matter your background. #appalchianechoes

"We’ve stayed at the Bald Knob Farmhouse many times and love it every time. It’s so peaceful and homey and we enjoy just hanging out and spending some quiet time there. Clara is wonderful to work with and we hope to continue visiting many more times in the future. "

"While this is a rural location, it was a perfect location for us. We were visiting family near the area. We love animals and the many animals here were so much fun to stay near. The apartment is exactly as decribed and pictured. The space is clean and comfortable, with special and thoughtful touches everywhere. Breakfast was offered as an up charge and it was well worth it.
