"The house is so so beautiful! Loved the art, bird books and details. The view and trees around are stunning. Wasn’t super clear about the beach access and that would have been nice to have given the location. Plan your stay around staying in a fair bit since it’s totally worth it and it’s not super close to shops/restaurants - but I wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing. Check in process was a little confusing with several emails from the renting company asking to download an app and other stuff....

"The location map for the property was incredibly misleading. VRBO has the listing map in Nanaimo which was what was originally searched as we needed to be in town. However, when we arrived, the map on VRBO lead us to some reserve land (it was super sketchy). It wasn’t until I opened the email from the host that the address/location was provided. "The condo was very well equipped and very clean. The spacious layout is great, kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to cook and the bedding was very comfortable. The beautiful view you have while sitting on the deck relaxing is breath taking. The complex itself is gorgeous, very well maintained with bbq areas, on site laundry and play areas for the kids. "The best thing about Dennis' place is the fabulous waterfront location. We enjoyed our coffee every morning watching the sea lions, gulls and even whales one day. The condo itself is very comfortable with great beds and a well stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed our month at Inn of the Sea."

"Though it was too early in the season for us to use the pool, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our kids explored the shore for shells and had a great time in the playground. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. We loved waking up to the ocean view - seeing seals and other wildlife. We were told we would be called the day before to be informed if we could have one - they never communicated with us. Our cottage (43) also had terrible water pressure.
