Summer Stay

We had a great stay at the condo with family! Location, communication, cleanliness of property, room size, etc was all great! It was so fun being right by the pool and a short trip to the beach. The views were so pretty!

Absolutely beautiful place. Well equipped; host super responsive. 4 min to swimmable beach but pools perfect and open till 10pm. Highly recommend for families.

Weelend getaway

Staying here was absolutely amazing. The views, price, and amenities were spot on. The only minor issue i saw is there are some repairs that need to be made to the unit. Drawers not closing right or their facing coming off. Water knobs sat weird or were difficult to adjust temperature. Other than that this place is awesome.

Great place with good view

Very clean and pleasant, and will come back again. Owner has done a very good job with decor and keep place hospitable.Only thing to be aware is there is 25 fee per stay per pereon to use some eminities offered. This include heated pool pool ubcommnunity at club house

Perfect stay in spacious and beautiful condo!

We have been staying at Pointe West for almost 15 years and this property was the best yet! Spacious and beautifully decorated, it was the perfect place for a long weekend. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property with gorgeous sunset views of the bay and lazy river pool

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo with gorgeous sunset views of the bay and lazy river pool. We enjoyed the resort amenities including the infinity pool at the beach club and the lazy river pool by the bay. We would definitely stay here again.

Short vacation getaway

Top of the line property with access to great amenities as well. Very clean, great view of pool, and unbeatable sunset from the patio in the evenings. Will definitely be coming back!!

Perfect getaway location!

Had an amazing time in this peaceful island paradise! The accommodations were beautifully updated with high quality, comfortable furnishings. The condo has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing vacation. The resort is well maintained and the staff at the restaurant/pool were friendly. We will definitely be back!

Perfect weekend getaway

Everything was perfect! Location was secluded, beach was not overcrowded, pool was kept clean. The condo was just as described, we enjoyed every bit of it. Only thing we weren’t to happy with was the drive to downtown Galveston it was a little further than we expected but everything else made up for it. Our girls absolutely loved it and hope we visit again soon!

Becoming a tradition

This is our family's second end of summer stay at this property. Once again, we were delighted with the cleanliness and how well maintained everything was. There are so many places to choose from when staying on the island but this location truly is a gem. The 2 patios, one overlooking the gulf and the other the bay afford beautiful sunrise and sunset view. The lazy river pool and hot tub are just steps away. This is our place to unplug, relax and recharge. Looking forward to next year.

Very Positive

This is my fourth time to stay at Pointe West, first time at this unit and second time with Linda and MaryAlice managing. They are extremely responsive and kind to work with. Unit was very clean. Kitchen stocked with basic needs. Even with the regular breaks to close the pool for cleaning due to the pandemic, it was all good. Thank you, Kim

Simply the Best

We love Pointe West! This property is perfect for anyone who enjoys just hangin out together. Sitting together around the large table on the balcony, bbq and games just outside the condo by the pool area, playing in the pool just steps from the condo, game time in the living space, and puzzles in the dining room are some of the activities you'll find here. It's an easy drive or walk to the beach, which is great for all ages to enjoy. We had a couple of delays on arrival time and the property managers were so nice and bent over backward to help us. I can't say enough nice things about them. I highly recommend this property.

Heavenly Stay!!

We loved this property, they did not miss a thing on details! Everything you need is available in the kitchen! The beds are so comfortable we all slept so heavenly!! It rained one morning, but there were plenty of games to enjoy. The lazy river pool is very close which was an added bonus for my daughter, we could go there every day, morning and night! The sunsets are amazing over the bay!! But you have beautiful views of the ocean also from the dining room. The only negative was the floors were not cleaned upon arrival, we kept stumbling on little pieces of thick black rubber and hair. So we had to do a little house cleaning. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!!!

Great Condo & Great Area

We stayed over a long weekend in January with our family. We had more than enough space in the condo with the two separate seating areas with sofas (and TVs for those so inclined to watch). The condo was very clean when we arrived and we appreciated the basket with a few essentials (coffee, laundry and dishwasher pods, etc.). This condo is particularly well located with both bay and ocean views. We enjoyed the heated pool on the bay side (the lazy river is not heated). However, we had to head to the Beach Club for the hot tub as the bayside hot tub was broken. The Beach Club has a fun game room for the kids and a large hot tub that we also enjoyed. There are many access points to the beach as well. If we had stayed longer, a golf cart rental would be been beneficial, but for the long weekend (and the cold!) we just hopped in my car to cross over to the beach where there was ample parking. Overall, we were very happy with this space and would definitely rent it again.

Beach Getaway

Overall the condo was very nice & accomodating for a family of eight. Decor was exceptional & the views are awesome. The sunsets over the Lazy River pool is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone wanting to get away from big crowds. It is very quiet & relaxing. Especially during this time of uncertanity with Covid. This was our 1st visit to Pointe West and will return. I was disappointed in some of the following items: 1. I was not aware the Beach Club (which is the area of access to the beach) was not located on premise and is not in safe walking distance from the condo. When you decide to go to beach you must pack your vehicle, drive to the Club, & walk a distance to the beach and finally you have arrived at the beach. 2. Hot tubs at both sites were closed & also the game room closed due to COVID. In my opinion I think the fee should have been discounted. 3. Beach chair rental & umbrella rental are not available on the beach. 4. The toilet in the 2nd bedroom requires some maintenance (ghost flushing) 5. Area rug in the family room due to corner remaining curled is a safety issue.

Great Place!

We enjoyed our stay and the condo had everything we needed for our family with teenagers. Communication was great and they let us check out a couple hours later to enjoy the morning on the beach. We only stayed a couple of nights, but the condo has everything you need if you want to be there several days. We loved the location to the pool.

Another great repeated stay

We love the convenience of the pools, the beach, the sunsets, and the very large balconies where I can sit and watch my family. We started coming to this complex 7 years ago and come back every year. Linda and MaryAlice are excellent hosts and extremely responsive.

Very enjoyable

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We are returning guests to the Sunset Hideaway because we enjoyed this location so much. The sunsets are magical, the condo is very comfortable and accommodating and the drive-on beaches nearby are such fun. The balcony overlooks the bayside pool where we spent many hours. We enjoyed coffee breaks and many meals on the patio. The property managers are very responsive and attentive. Our family will be back next year. Highly recommend!
