The Corib Villiage was perfect as i was attending a conference at the University. It was a bit out of town, but easily accessible by bus and taxi. The main downside for me was that there was nowhere within walking distance to get dinner. Also, the shop on site was really expensive - 1.5 euros for 2 bananas. But staff were really friendly and the room was clean.

El establecimiento en cuestión, son varios edificios en un campus universitario. El principal parece prácticamente nuevo, pero las habitaciones o nuestra habitación en particular dista mucho de la de la foto. Los estantes estaban mal colocados y caídos, el suelo parecía que no lo habían barrido en siglos y el baño es horroroso.

Check-In hat ewig gedauert, weil meine Buchung nicht gefunden wurde. Wir haben im Dezember fuer August gebucht und wurden in 2 versch. Haeuser gesteckt (A und E) - schon echt weit auseinander. Zimmer zweckmaessig und sauber, aber nicht sonderlich gross. Tueren, die automatisch zu gehen leider sehr laut. Fruehstueck fuer 6€ aber sehr ordentlich und zufriedenstellend. Abgelegen von der Stadt, aber stuendlicher Shuttlebus (nur bis 19:00). Fuer eine Nacht auf Durchreise reicht es (Galway hat an sich eh nicht so viel zu bieten)

Kaffee beim Frühstück sehr gut. Ohne dem shuttle wäre man aufgeschmissen. Leider fährt es nur sehr begrenzt, erst ab 12 Uhr und nur bis 19:30. Zwei von drei Nächten ohne Kissen trotz mehrmaligen Nachfragen. Frühstück war vergleichsweise sehr teuer in anbetracht der Auswahl. Zimmer für zwei Personen sehr klein, kein Bewegungsspielraum. Schlechtes Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis. Generell hoher Renovierungsbedarf, insbesondere die Bäder.

Les résidences sont bien situées et le secteur est sécuritaire. Par contre, les chambres sont inférieures aux attentes et beaucoup moins belles que sur les photos. Les planchers n'étaient pas très propres, mais le reste de la chambre était propre. Le prix payé est un peu cher pour ce logement.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen. Galway City ist gut zu Fuss (max. 30min) erreichbar oder in ein paar Fahrminuten mit dem kostenlosen Shuttlebus. Aber leider war das Zimmer winzig, äusserst sporadisch eingerichtet und enorm schmutzig (zumindest für Schweizer Verhältnisse). Auch die vielen Insekten und Spinnen liessen keine Begeisterung aufkommen. Andererseits handelt es sich um ein Studentenwohnheim, das über den Sommer an Feriengäste vermietet wird. Stellt man sich bewusst darauf ein, ist ein Aufenthalt für 1, 2 Nächte wegen der guten Lage und den günstigen Preise durchaus in Ordnung.

Place where drunk teenagers gather

The stay itself would have been ok, even though the price was kind of high in comparison for what we got, but every evening there were drunk teenagers partying and making a lot of noice through the night. Nobody of the staff really seemed to care about this. This really disturbed the rest and sleep needed when exploring the region. Might be the cheapest in town, but I recommend spending a bit more to have a comfortable stay.

A reasonable budget option.

Friendly greeting on arrival. Problem with Wi-Fi solved promptly. Very convenient for shop / cafe and shuttle bus. No tv in room (which I knew, but under-estimate my wish for it once there). Sound-proofing limited, noticeable at chucking-out time at the International Arts Festival.

It was great to have access to the full kitchen, and have a little space in the bedroom. There was no soap in the shared bathroom, which there should be for four rooms of people using the toilet. Bed was comfortable, shuttle was very convenient! Tried for 15 minutes to get the shower going but couldn’t get hot water - also didn’t contact the staff as we were getting ready to check out so just gave up but I may well have just not flipped a switch I needed to or made some other “user error”. Overall would stay again!

Acomodação em campus universitário.

Se trata de um campus universitário. Existem apartamentos com vários quartos e uma área comum que é uma sala de estar e uma cozinha. As acomodações necessitam de reformas, os móveis são bem antigos. O banheiro é bem apertado, no estilo de banheiro de cabine de navio. O staf é muito atencioso. Tem um ônibus gratuito que leva do campus para o centro e trás do centro para o campus, passa a cada meia hora, em horários pré-estabelecidos. o Campus fica uns 20 minutos andando do centro. A WI-FI é muito boa e possui estacionamento gratuito.

Good place

The CorribVillage was a good place on stay as it was within an easy bus ride of the centre of town. It is early in the season, so many things needed to be fixed....we had issues with our keys and the wifi, but the maintenance people came quickly to fix these problems. The kitchen was very useful as well. It was not clear that you had to pay for breakfast, it seemed to be included when we booked it, but it was not in fact included in the price.
