In better weather would be a great put in for canoeing, kataking. Very close many historic sights, unique shops, and outdoor activities. The hosts are very thoughtful, kind and responsive. "We frequently rent houses for this kind of "long weekend getaway" and our overall experience at Rebels Rest was what we hoped it would be. The view is AMAZING, the location is private and quiet, the house is decorated with personality, the furniture is comfortable and there's a surprising amount of usable space.
