"Great location, close to everywhere. Train station, beach, ferry port are all within walking distance. The apartment is very clean that offers essential amenities for a short stay. The only thing that I can suggest is to maybe provide a proper cutting knife and cutting board for guests who wants/needs to cook or staying longer. Fast and courteous responds from the management/ owner too, will stay here again and recommend to friends or family"

Breakfast on its own is Michelin worthy! The cheese selection alone is worth staying at Villa Ketty! Personal touches and attention to detail are a reflection of the owners fantastic taste! Memories to last a lifetime!"

"Great place if you’re traveling with a group. We were supposed to be two families and it would have been perfect for that- it ended up just being us -couple with an 11 year old so it was a bit big for us. Conveniently located with a 15 walk from the train station in Vico Equense -though a bit of a hassle with luggage to walk but doable. The place is classic/dated in a charming way. Ample sized room, number of bathrooms, huge kitchen, the terrace is nice as well. Though everything was clean, could do with new towels, bedding etc , and some more amenities like shampoo, shower gel etc - though the manager brought some over once we asked so it was ok. Would love to come back with a larger group. Would much prefer to stay in Vico than busier towns like Sorento etc."

"4 nuits à cette hôtel et on va vraiment beaucoup aimé. Le site est vraiment très beau, vue incroyable sur le Vésuve et sur la montagne en arrière de l’hôtel, belle piscine sur le bord de l’eau. Eau très froide par contre dans la piscine. Bon buffet déjeuner. Stationnement facile pour l’auto et vraiment pas chers comparé aux autre hôtels. Accès facile à la route pour aller visiter. Chambre très grande, lit confortable, c’était très propre. Moi et ma conjointe avons passé un très beau séjour, je vous recommande cet hôtel."

"The views are breathtaking! The breakfast and restaurant are good. Light breakfast, coffee, water, juice, sweet pastries, some protein like prosciutto, some fruit and yogurt! Croissants of-course! We had the Jr Suite with the jacuzzi which was amazing for recovery of the walking and long days! The pool is at the very top of the hill (3 flights of steep steps) , not easily accessible, jacuzzi for the outside premises is nearby, the patio is a highlight for views, be prepared for the nightly sirens and boat sounds since it is right in front of marina however a far far walk, it is not easily accessible walking for any of those who require a sidewalk . However my daughter mother and I made many trips by foot in front of hotel the castle has a steep way down to the city, if you decide to take a cab, it will cost you$25-$30 each way to come up or down. The closes town is Vico Equense, (loved it) not so busy but places to eat..Castallamare has no bus access there so we took a cabs often,$50! So you need reliable transportation or be willing to walk a secluded mountain side by castle to reach train down in the town! But the views and hotel service makes up for this! The housekeeping crew was wonderful, Luigi was a lifesaver when we arrived at train station without access to taxis, he personally came for us! At no charge, all in all had a wonderful peaceful stay, I will say Castallamare is the place to decompress from the hustle and bustle of Positano, Sorrento,Almafi and Napoli!"

"We had read so many wonderful reviews about this hotel and they were not wrong. From the moment you walked in the hotel staff were very helpful and continued to be for the week that we were there. The courtesy bus was great, took us to the station and from there we had our trips to Sorrento, Amalfi and Napoli. The breakfast was very nice, the views were amazing from the rooftop of the hotel with a glass of morning fizz in hand! The restaurant in the evening in the hotel grounds was faultless, the food was amazing and the staff exceptional. During the day the pool area was very calm, the lifeguard / pool attendant kept it spotless, he was a fountain of local knowledge. Thank you, Medusa we had a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend your beautiful hotel"

"Great location, not far from the train station, so you can visit Sorrento and Pompeii. Bar area on the ground floor lovely, other areas of the hotel looked tired. We did pack beach towels for the pool - note: none provided unless you pay a €15 charge for using your room towel."

"Lovely, friendly staff. We thought the room was generous, with a balcony that caught the morning sun, a comfortable bed and a good shower. We particularly liked relaxing in the plunge jacuzzi pool after trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and Sorento. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is up a hill, so although it isn't a long walk from the train station, it isn't much fun with a suitcase. The centre of town is close enough to walk to in the evening and is lively, with plenty of restaurants. It would be worth checking the situation with the building site next door before booking. It was mostly quiet during our stay, with just one digger working, so it wasn't much of an issue for us."
