The hotel was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even speaking English. The spa was amazing and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve experienced while traveling.

The location and staff really make this hotel worth the stay. Every staff member went out of their way to be friendly or helpful. While the room could have used some upgrading, my overall experience was very pleasant and I would certainly recommend this hotel.

We loved the hotel. Dinner and breakfast were great. Location is perfect. Their sauna is super and highly recommended: guests have the needed huge towels in their rooms, sauna has different types and with different temperatures.

Wonderful hotel with excellent services. The staff are amazing as well as the location and amenities. It is really worth staying here. Parking is easy and lots to do in and around the site that include walks along the lake or spend some time in the spa and pool. Highly recommended.

Great property beautiful rooms and warm cozy lobby. Food was excellent and staff was super friendly. The hotel is out of town and although they have a pass for the buss you have to walk down the hill to catch the bus and return back to hotel. So not very convenient

Definitely get the panoramic room at the Seehaus. Waking up to that view is worth every dime. Fantastic staff. Food is delicious. Can't think of a better place on earth to spend Christmas!

Highly recommended. Very well located, good breakfast and front desk staff is so kind. My wife and I had a pleasant stay in the hotel. Sparkling wine for us as VIP Gold and at the checkout hotel gave a small gift to my wife as it was her birthday and a German pretzel to eat on our trip back to home

nice hotel in the beautiful Bavarian alps

The Riessersee Hotel was a great experience. I stayed in a nice room in the building looking out on the waterfall and down on Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner. There is the hotel restaurant with a buffet and the Seehaus Restaurant, with very friendly service and good food. I highly recommend the Riessersee hotel for anyone wanting to experience a "mini" grand-hotel experience in the beautiful Bavarian alps. It will not be the last time I stay there.

The property is in a rural like setting yet is only minutes away from Partenkirchen. There is a beautiful lake to sit outside and enjoy as well as a walking path around the lake. The breakfast and dinner buffets were huge and had so many choices to eat. The food was very good. There are several lounge areas both inside and outside to sit around and relax. Parking onsite. I would stay here again!

Amazing stay!

Excellent hotel! Chose it primarily because of the surrounding scenery and it did not disappoint. The hotel is suprisingly large and consists of multiple buildings. The staff is super friendly and helpful (despite my poorly spoken German!), the room was very nice & clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is unsurpassed - food tastes great and there are so many choices! The restaurant (by the lake) is also very good. I would definately choose this place to stay at again if my travels bring me back in this direction. Highly recommended!

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! It was even more beautiful in person. It's a nice hike down to the town with really nice views along the way. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view of the lake. It was so nice waking up in the morning and sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise. The food was delicious as well, with a very nice restaurant. We rented bikes from the hotel to bike around the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was right by the lake and we had an amazing view from our balcony across the mountains. The room itself was a family suite with two bedrooms and a separate living room. It was clean and nicely decorated with lots of space. We had half board and both the breakfast and dinner were good. Both were buffets with plenty of choice. There was always a vegetarian option for dinner and soup, a salad bar and a variety of desserts. The staff were all very friendly. The location of the hotel is stunning. We didn’t have a car and did lots of walking as a result. It’s about 35-40 minutes to walk to a shop in town. You could walk to a train station for the cog wheel train to Zugspitze in about 30 mins. There were also a couple of places to eat within walking distance - near the alpspitz cable car. The lake was surprisingly warm for swimming and hiring paddleboards was very reasonable at 10 euros for 30 mins. Our children enjoyed the giant chess and curling available for free. There was also a selection of board games at reception. All in all we had a great time here and would recommend it for families.
