"The room was a bit dated. It does have a microwave and mini fridge which was helpful since my husband and I are vegetarians and there is very little to eat on the coast for us. It has dingy looking carpet in the rooms which is a bit weird to have near a beach. The bed was comfortable and the view was stunning. The main reason to stay here is due to the lovely view and how close you are to beach access. Kissing Rock is about a mile walk down the beach from the hotel and is stunning to look at up close. They also have a little presentation that starts at 8pm that gives you a some information about the area. Then they have a light show after the presentation and that was cool for the first night (it was the same light show for all three nights of our stay)."

"Nice little place for two people. I would recommend writing down check in details separately and not depending on your phone when you get to the property. We had no service and it was difficult to get lock box info. One phone thankfully ended up working after a while. A heads up of this in the check info would have been super helpful. The view is lovely and beach access a little ways away was nice. Cute little place!"

"This is a beautiful place to stay. Right on the river. The house accommodated our family of 11. Grandkids, kids and grandparents. Fully stocked kitchen as advertised. Beautiful scenery all around. This place is a must stay. Beds were comfy with plenty of xxtra pillows and blankets. The hostess is only a text away. Rita was very prompt in responding ."

"If what you are is looking for is a bed and a shower with some ability to store and heat your food, this is the place for you. It is basically an aging motel that appears to be lacking a budget ( or creative captain at the helm) for basic upgrades, but that said, the bed was comfortable, the manager responsive, the location along the Oregon coast very convenient. We got what we paid for which is no frills, no extra towels, no closet or dresser to store our clothes. It is pet friendly, haa easy parking and good TV set in room. Right next to the highway, but noise calms down in the evening. Good galleries, bookstores, and restaurants in town. Love Port Orford!"

"House was clean, kitchen was well equipped, plenty of room for our party if 7. Quick walk to the beach which was a plus. No light down the stairs to the game room, light switches at the bottom of the stairs made it a bit odd and dark. Very nice home and wonderful memories made with family. Thanks to the hosts."
