"Always know what you’re getting. Good breakfast and nice pub across car park for evening meals. Clean rooms. We had a twin room but only one bedside table between the beds. There was easily room for a small shelf on the other side. No need for plugs just somewhere to put phone, kindle, etc. "

"Colessio is in a great location, walking distance to Stirling Castle, the church, and many pubs. The rooms are nice, beautifully decorated and clean. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I do not recommend the breakfast, it was overpriced for what was provided."

"We had a lovely stay at Golden Jubilee Hotel. The was a problem with the reservation so checking in and out was a bit of a hassle as I got worried about my booking. The only issue we had was that our room was connected to another room with a door, and we could hear other people from next door. The lady was very loud early in the morning so we couldn’t sleep properly. Also the phone wasn’t working. Overall, had a nice stay. It’s a lovely hotel and newly renovated. "

"The Black Bull was built as an inn in 1740. Gartmore is a quaint village with nearby walking paths. There are no shops or other things, but it is beautiful for it's countryside views and a nearby path. Also, the food is outstanding at the Black Bull. The menu is small but the chef makes it all count with each plate masterfully executed. I had a traditional chicken recipe stuffed with haggis and it was so tender and flavorful. I had to personally go thank the chef; it was just that tasty."
