"I stayed at the bunkhouse for two nights when taking part in running events in Dumfries & Galloway. I chose it primarily on cost. It’s great value for a solo traveller and having a kitchen is a bonus. However, the bunk bed wasn’t very comfortable - very soft mattress and I could feel the springs - so I didn’t sleep particularly well. "

"Park Cottage is set in a lovely location in Cally Woods (so many great walks and cycle opportunities). Also with use of the Cally Palace Hotel facilities including the swimming pool. However the house was unclean, especially the kitchen with unusable pans and not enough cutlery to sit 9 people in one setting. There was black mould on the downstairs bathroom ceiling. Such a shame as the cottage is a great space for families and could be lovely, but when I have fed back about these issues I have...

"This is a fantastic property. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Although close to the main road (and easy access to local amenities, walks and beautiful beaches), it is quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is very well stocked and we enjoyed having the pool/ping pong table in the lounge. Would love to return for another stay."
