The city is also the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Gaylord, the smallest settlement by far serving as the location of an active Roman Catholic cathedral in the United States.

"This was our second time staying here within a couple of months. Great home, great location, and friendly owners. If we are traveling to the area again we would not hesitate to book again. "

"Property is very nice, good beds, great functional kitchen. Many provisions already there. Great pots and pans. Not the norm in many rentals. Beautiful view, nice beach and fire pit. Peaceful and restful. Good showers. Nice bedding, all areas of the house are tastefully decorated. We enjoyed‼️ Two cons; no cable TV and the yellow melamine dishes.
