"The property itself seems to be in a decent area on a service road and near other properties. There were several transients hanging around the property, however, and they were accosting guests (including myself) for money, cigarettes, etc. One even saw me unloading something from my vehicle, and upon seeing me walking back to the building, started casing my vehicle. I initiated my panic button on my key fob to scare them away. That's definitely something management needs to address.
The property seems to have been renovated recently, except for the carpet in the elevator. The smell was awful, and you can tell that it's from the old, dingy carpet that lines the bottom. It smelled like housekeeping tried to cover up the smell that morning, but it just made it worse.
When we checked in, the young lady working the desk on night shift was very kind and professional. She was very kind when we told her we had no towels or washcloths in our room and gave us plenty for our stay.
I expected a much better breakfast than what was provided. The pictures showed a full breakfast bar. They offered frozen waffles rather than a waffle iron and fresh batter, the eggs were runny, the turkey sausage was dry and overcooked, the grits were not done well, and the breakfast attendant seemed rather aloof while sitting at one of the tables, TV remote beside her, a food spread out for herself everywhere. She definitely doesn't understand food service or customer service."
