"Pool and beach facilities were great- sailing and kayaking lots of fun. The room was small but clean. The outdoor corridors to the accomodation looked tired and need a refresh. Bathrooms need a refit."

"Second time staying at this hotel, and it was again an excellent experience. Rooms feel fresh and new still, very clean and have a nice warm feel. The location is very handy to the beach, nice cafes and Sunshine Plaza. It’s also perfect for people who just need a comfortable place to sleep rather than a full resort-style stay, as the rooms are on the smaller side but very well designed. Will definitely stay here again and think it’s excellent value."

"Beach Retreat has an amazing location, one of the best positions at Coolum. Walking distance of eateries, across the road to beach. Lovely pool and spa. The room itself is tired, chairs and mat worn and grotty, cleaning to be improved in general. On checkout, i was not asked for any feedback, no comment. I did enjoy my visit."

"The apartment was very dark. Directly next to the pool. The window from both the living room and bedroom faced a brick wall surrounding the pool."
