Worthy of a try
"hotel has been remodeled so rooms are very nice. There is a microwave and frig but no coffee pot which I found strange. pets are not allowed. Service was very good. Breakfast is very minimal with waffles, 2 cereals and apples and not much else. We would stay again."

I wouldn't find myself here again unless visiting friends or family but perhaps my experience just wasn't the best. My hope is that guests who stay in the future have a much better experience after staff read my review.

Ghent is very close to Beckley which has many dining options. Winterplace has been great for us.

All the folks we met were very pleasant, both at Winterplace and at Skyline. We had a good dinner at the motel. Other than the ski slopes, which were great, we didn't see much of Ghent.
