Beautiful Country Home!!!

My family really enjoyed our stay at Howdy Ranch!! From the Beautiful western home- that is fully stocked with all that you will need to have a pleasant stay, comfy beds, fishing, paddle boat and campfire at night making smores.

Great time at the Howdy Ranch

Throughly enjoyed our weekend at the Howdy Ranch. It was well stocked and clean. Particularly enjoyed the fishing dock and seeing the cattle. Definitely should be on your list for a ranch stay in the area!

Round Top Girls Trip

We enjoyed our stay and the closeness to the Round Top show, but not too close. After a day of shopping we would watch the sun set and enjoyed seeing the animals. The house is comfortable and many thoughtful touches.

Quick get away

Excellent home base as we explored several towns nearby. Breweries, wineries and shopping were all things we did. It was also nice to sit out by the fire at night as the outdoor space was great for us and our dog. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Getaway!

Loved everything about the property. See plenty of nature, all kids of birds, otters, turtles, and deer. The fishing was great with nothing less than 2 lbs caught. The home was extremely comfy and had everything we needed!

Perfect getaway

I wanted somewhere to get rhe kids off electronics and enjoy just being around nature. We took their bikes and board games and just chilled out. We fished, took out the canoe and paddle boat and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Perfect weekend to refuel and recharge.

Country living with city convenience! We will be back. The property was clean and exactly like the listing. Sitting on the front porch watching the deer and the short walk to the dock for quick fishing. 25 minutes from Roundtop and 3 minutes from quick conveniences - it was perfect

Secluded oasis!

We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway. They have everything you need, well stocked. Owner was very responsive with any questions or concerns. We really enjoyed fishing in the private pond located on the property. Definitely will go back!

Secluded oasis

We really enjoyed our stay at the Howdy Ranch. Very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed fishing in the pond to just hanging out on the front porch swing. We were also able to see deer on the property every day which was neat. The owner was very responsive with any issues or questions! Would highly recommend this rental home to anyone looking for a peaceful secluded getaway!

Everything we needed!

The Howdy Ranch was everything we needed… From the moment we stepped foot on this property til the time we left it was perfect. The pictures and descriptions are true. The fridge and pantry were stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing and exposing our pup to the cattle and deer that visited us each afternoon. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

A Peaceful, Restful Haven

Wide open spaces. A pond. Plenty of deer. A beautiful, comfortable home. And all only five minutes from town. This was just the peace and quiet that we were looking for. We left for home feeling rested and relaxed, and are looking forward to coming back.

Great Ranch Visit

We needed a place to stay for a family event in Ledbetter and found this ranch. I was so surprised when we pulled up, it is an awesome place! The house is amazing inside and has everything you could need. Our kids had fun in the boats going around the pond. Location is great - close to everything but when you are out on the ranch it is like nothing is around you. Will be back if we ever need to rent a place while we go to my families property.

Country atmosphere close to town

We stayed 2 nights. We had everything we needed and then some! Fabulous location close to town but feels like a true country get away! The pond has a lighted fountain and benches on the pier with lighting. There is a deer feeder right beyond the pond s d the deer running across the field in the mornings was amazing. We will be booking again! If you are looking for the perfect get away this is the spot!!!

Getaway Weekend

My family, which consisted of my wife and two children ages 17 and 13, stayed here over the Labor Day weekend. We traveled to College Station on Saturday for the exciting Notre Dame verses Texas A&M football game. On Sunday, we hung out at this beautiful ranch. We had fun outside fishing and enjoying the land. Anything that we needed was close by including a Walmart, grocery store, Shipley’s donuts, and a good Mexican restaurant to eat. The sunset on Sunday evening was beautiful. We would highly recommend staying at the Howdy Ranch. We definitely will when we are back in the area.

Family NYE Getaway

We loved our family getaway to the Howdy Ranch. We stayed with our son (7), daughter (10) and golden-doodle for 3 days between Christmas and new years and had a blast! We kept ourselves busy taking the Jon boat out on the pond, fishing, looking for wildlife, roasting s’mores on the fire pit, and running into town for a few meals. The house was perfect our family of 4 and was well stocked and clean. TV and internet worked great when we needed the occasional downtime from being outside on the property. The dog shower was super helpful as our pup loved running around the acreage and taking the occasional dip in the pond.

It is what it says it is.

Super cool property. The acres, the cows, the oil rig, it feels like Texas just puling in. The house was both cool, and felt modern in al the right ways. Vaulted ceilings in the living area, great appliances and high quality fixtures. Master bed was great. Well stocked, tons of towels. But the pond was just the neatest thing. The dock was nice, the boats were fun to play with. The bass were huge (I was able to see quite a few). I never convinced one to bit any of my lures, but I have not done much bass fishing at all so that is not suprising. What you see is what you get and it was great.

Overall the property was beautiful with a good location. However the cleanliness was awful, it took us a day of our vacation to clean it as there was dirt and someone else’s dog hair everywhere. The house hadn’t been dusted in a very long time, all the surfaces needed to be cleaned and the sheets on the bunk beds were not changed. The grass was also not maintained at all. Being in Texas where there are snakes it was unsafe to have the grass this long. Thankfully when a snake did jump at my daughter she had her boots on. The owners spent 2 hours on the property, while we were there collecting personal items that should’ve been done ahead of time. Surprising as it was advertised as private. Upon contacting the owners about the cleanliness of the house they did refund a cleaning fee however we still lost a day of vacation making the house habitable.
