"Lovely place to stay. Beautiful grounds and a very comfortable hotel. The rooms and ensuites are generously sized and comfortable. Breakfast was served at the nearby Tykes restaurant and was excellent. The staff were welcoming and helpful in the hotel. The Tykes restaurant is a converted beautiful barn, serving delicious food using local ingredients. The hotel has been built to match this aesthetic with a country barn feel to it."

"Lovely hotel. When arriving the staff were friendly and helpful as we were there hours before check in. The rooms are basic with toiletries but very clean . Alcohol was reasonability priced as we expected higher prices due to it being a wedding venue. For the price with breakfast and free parking it was spot on. We was able to leave the car and get a uber into York which was between £15-£20. Would definitely stay again. "
