"The house was very warm when we arrived. The AC was individual units and they were off. The batteries in the remotes for the AC had to be replaced. There were ants in the bathroom and elsewhere in the house that we ended up spraying for. The bed was very hard. The dial on the dryer was missing."

"The property met our needs as it was clean, accommodating and conveniently located. The bedrooms, living and dining area and the kitchen are all good sized. The bathrooms are a bit small but workable. Would like to see the home stocked with some basic necessities (e.g. a broom or vacuum cleaner, other cleaning supplies). Would be nice to have extra blankets available as well. The view is spectacular, but less than half of the described large backyard is accessible as you are not allowed to...

"John was a wonderful host. There were several communications at the beginning of my stay and he responded quickly and was very helpful. I can't say enough good things about the accommodations. It was very clean and I was especially thankful for the bright lighting throughout. The living room was comfortable and the table and chairs supplied an extra workspace. "Love this cute little motel. I’ve stayed here 6 or 7 different times while my son was a student at SDSU. The Lamplighter Inn is consistently immaculate- honestly, the grounds and buildings are so well-maintained. The breakfast is basic but good, the laundry facilities, water dispenser,& vending machines are available 24/7 in a secure room next to the lovely, shaded pool area. Parking is plentiful and free.
