"Good, clean rooms and facilities. APA Hotel is always a safe choice for me when solo traveling in Japan and this hotel's location was within walking distance of the Shinkansen, train, and subway station as well as shopping and food. The beds aren't super firm like a lot of hotels and the TVs allow streaming from personal devices or from the hotel's own library of films, shows, and other entertainment.
This hotel is located very close to Kyoto Station and right across from the hotel's main entrance is a walking path/shortcut that takes you more directly to the station's Central entrance/exit, several subway entrances, and Kintetsu railway entrance. There is also a 7-Eleven (open 24-hours) right beside this hotel.
The laundry room was small, but had 3 washer-dryer units available to guests. The laundry room gets VERY hot, but I didn't have to wait long to be able to use a machine. Keep in mind that most machines don't do an amazing job of drying the clothes, so after running a drying cycle I typically hang up some clothing my room's bathroom and let it dry overnight (the bathroom ventilation does great)."
