"Staff at the hotel were very welcoming, warm and friendly. The meals were great especially the supposed “light” dinner which turned out to be quite a selection! Rooms were clean. "

"The hotel was great and loved the location near the ski jumps and soccer fields. It very much captured the Olympic vibe. Close to walking trails and to walk to town. The included breakfast was very good. It had a very nice lounge so you could relax outside your room. The shower, as in most of Norway, was small and leaked a bit. "

"The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. In most interactions, they seemed almost annoyed to be bothered by have to check in guests, answer questions or service the breakfast buffet. I could chalk this up to the standoff-ish Norwegian personality, but even so, they should think about how they treat guests from outside Norway. "
