Glabbeek Family Retreat Home

Located in the peaceful village of Glabbeek, this modern 4-bedroom holiday home offers a comfortable and well-equipped stay for up to 8 guests. Ideal for families or small groups, the home features a fenced garden, private terrace, and child-friendly amenities.

The ground floor includes a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer. The living/dining room is furnished with a digital TV, and there’s a pantry with a washing machine and tumble dryer. A separate toilet is also available on this level.

Upstairs, each of the 4 bedrooms has 2 single beds, a TV, and a private en-suite bathroom with a shower, washbasin, and toilet, ensuring privacy and comfort for all guests.

Enjoy meals outdoors in the furnished garden, and let the kids play safely while you relax. Extras: – Free WiFi – Parking on-site – Children’s bed and high chair included – Pet-friendly (max 1 pet) – Restaurants within 1.2 km

A security deposit of EUR 90,00 will be required closer to your check-in date. You will receive a separate communication with the payment link. De ontvangst liet op zich wachten, nochtans het uur van aankomst aangegeven, dit verliep dan snel door de dochter(wel vriendelijk). De verwarming liet het afweten en dus ook geen warm water, net nu het weer heel wat minder was(nat en fris). Zaterdagavond moeten terugbellen, zijn dan wel gekomen en lag gewoon aan een uitgevallen zekering, waar wij niet bij konden. Hebben mevrouw niet gezien bij vertrek, konden sleutel achterlaten op tafel. Verder wel goede woning met comfort. Aanrader!

Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf en het bezoek aan De Wollekes : de schapenfokkerij en het ijssalon met heel lekker zelfgemaakt ijs. Minpunten aan het verblijf : het buitenmeubilair is aan vervanging toe(er waren maar 4 stoelen waarvan 1 kapot en we waren met 8 personen.) De waterduk in de douches is een werkpunt!

Er hangt een indringende rioolgeur in de woning, zowel op het gelijkvloers als op de slaapkamers en de badkamers. Deze kritiek had ik vooraf ook al gelezen en inderdaad het klopt echt ! De kamers zijn ruim maar de vakantiewoning is wel aan renovatie toe. Bevuilde wanden, douches met roest en schimmelvorming. Jammer.... Wij hebben tijdens ons verblijf de woning constant moeten verluchten door de ramen wat open te zetten zodat er frisse lucht binnen kon om de geurhinder te verminderen.

Ruim, goed uitgerust vakantiehuis in rustige omgeving

De accommodatie was ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. We waardeerden het zeer dat er bij aankomst al ijsblokjes in de vriezer lagen, die kwamen tijdens de warme dagen goed van pas. Ook de aanwezigheid van een friteuse verraste ons positief. Tijdens ons verblijf hebben we zowel Leuven als Brussel bezocht, beiden goed bereikbaar vanaf de accommodatie (respectievelijk 30 en 45 - 60 minuten met de auto). Het huis was vriendelijk geprijsd, en we kregen ook ongeveer waar we voor betaalden. De inrichting was basaal en ruim voldoende, maar niet luxueus. Bij aankomst waren basisbenodigdheden zoals vuilniszakken en toiletpapier niet of slechts mondjesmaat aanwezig. Badlinnen was daarentegen wel aanwezig, terwijl de online advertentie vermeldde dat dit niet het geval zou zijn. Ook op andere punten zouden de online gegevens bijgewerkt mogen worden, bijvoorbeeld met betrekking tot de borg. Een voorafgaand aan het verblijf gestelde vraag om bepaalde onduidelijkheden op te helderen, werd door de eigenaar niet beantwoord. Door de ligging midden in een dorp is dit huis vooral voor rustige gezelschappen geschikt; de buren zitten niet op feestjes te wachten. Dat was voor ons gelukkig geen enkel probleem. We hebben in dit huis een zeer prettige vakantieweek beleefd, waarvoor hartelijk dank!

Ons verblijf was heel leuk. Een enig puntje dat ik zou zeggen is dat een overdekte ruimte voor fietsen wel ideaal zou zijn. Nu moet ze buiten blijven staan.

Prachtige locatie in Glabbeek om (op de fiets) naar Leuven te gaan of een uitstapje te maken naar Scherpenheuvel of Diest. Vanuit Tienen ben je in 40 minuten met de trein in Brussel. Een fijne bijkomstigheid is ook dat De Wever beschikt over vier ruime slaapkamers met ieder een eigen badkamer. Een aanrader!
