Very pleasant stay.
Extremely comfy bed, lovely warm clean room and excellent breakfast. Service was always prompt and breakfast freshly cooked to your order. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.
Got Locked Out My Room Using The Shared Bathroom. Had Wrong Key Card From The Desk Guy Who Booked Me in. But Apart From That Got aDecent Sleep & Breakfast Wasn’t To Bad Nice Choice. I Will Stay Here Again 😌 Thanks
Upon arrival the receptionist couldn't find my booking, even though it was confirmed on the app, he was unable to offer me the room type I had booked, upon getting to my part of the hotel ( it was a row of entrances a long 1 road to various rooms ) the entrance was musty, and the plants completely dead, when I got to my room this wasn't an improvement, broken rails, and toilet roll holders, the bin in room used a carrier bag from the local convenience store, utterly terrible hotel, and would not recommend
These buildings with the right business people and attitude COULD be a 5 star but this is not the case and I would advise anyone to book elsewhere!
So work this out…… the same people operate two business here on the same row of properties in that area - namely you have the hotel listed which we booked…. Wait for it…. And then there is a “hotel” further along the road for where you “check in” and have your breakfast…. But the hotel has a different name AKA tax dodging……that’s a start …So we called first to ask for an earlier checkin BeFore we booked and was told on the phone a check in would be ok at 1pm instead of 3pm as we called early. We arrived and then told no not happening and we had also booked a no refundable booking- but that’s why we called first-so that was us screwed royally over to start, then it got worse! We came back at 3 to read signage to check in elsewhere, now the distance is quite sun to walk between these 2 buildings- So we walk to other hotel where we waiting 28 minutes to check in-so got that drama over and walked back to this property. Got in the front door and the smell was horrendous-so we carried out and struggled to find our room, got in there and no en suite - but we have a sink not as described our bathroom was on the top floor - a Mira shower with a broken thermostats I’m quite a tall bloke, I just could fit into the toilet area or the shower so wasn’t for me. Beds were ok and so was linen but I will not be back. I would not put my dogs
They originally denied I had a booking until i showed them confirmation. Then they said they'd given my room away and we ended up in a double room with no toilet or shower and not the quadruple with toilet and shower we'd booked and travelled to stay in. Room was filthy, bed had other folks pubic hair, no facilities, shower grotty, had folk twice enter room during the night. It was hellish. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my life
We arrived later than planned due to traffic and road works on M8. Our room wasn't available and they had to put us in another room for one night and we had to change rooms the following morning. I was not happy about this as they had obviously rented our room to someone else thinking we wouldn't be coming. We where compensated but awful start to our trip. Rooms are in desperate need of redecorating and when we moved to our new room all our towels that where rolled up nicely on the bed where still damp. Rooms was also needing a good clean.

Glasgow Weekend
Good hotel. Located close to CIty Centre. Comfortable beds. Staff helpful and friendly. Not suitable for those who have some walking challenges as there is no lift or wheelchair access. Stairs very steep.
Nice wee room, should say on website that it is self service check in though.

Ok
Hotel is in a great position in the West End of Glasgow. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Hotel is very good value for money, as we didn’t realise a full English breakfast was included. Our room was very basic and could do with an upgrade, which would probably impact upon the rates charged. Car parking on site was £5 for 24 hours, although spaces very limited. Car parking in area is a nightmare as most of the road parking was for residents only or pay and display. There are some free parking spaces along the bridge at the side of the Botanical Gardens. We left our car in the area and took a 7 minute walk to Hillhead station for the train into the centre of Glasgow, which costs approximately £6 return and saves the headache of finding parking.
¡Volveremos!
The operators of the Kelvin Hotel were, quite frankly, a highlight of our stay in Glasgow. They were immediately helpful, always friendly, and very hospitable. You simply don't find this kind of service in a chain hotel.
Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Very easy access to the West End.
If I have one suggestion, it would be that it would be nice to have more vegan options at breakfast.
