"Enjoyed two night stay here. The room was really nicely appointed and the food in the bar and restaurant was excellent - delicious, quality ingredients, nicely presented and very generous portions. Definitely recommend."

"Fabulous property - luxurious and well appointed, great hosts who were friendly and welcoming. The house is ideally situated in Wigtown so right by some lovely pubs, bookshops and nice areas for walking. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 young children (and a dog) and it perfectly suited our needs - plenty of space and ideal for a group get together. We can’t wait to return!"

"I would suggest that the procedure of self service specifically with the fries, mushrooms, bacon etc .should be carefully changed. While having breakfast I was aware of a guest sneezing six times into her hands (no handkerchief or similar being used) then I noticed she proceeded to help herself to the fries section. In other word it is quite possible that this lady therefore infected all the serving utensils she touched and therefore there was the possibility of infecting nearly everyone in the dining room. Certainly a couple of self service hand sanitizers would not go amiss. I would certainly use one of the handy napkins at hand. It is something that I think should be given some thought. "Excellent value for money. There are some stairs but that comes with a fabulous view of the harbour. Everything on hand within a short walking distance. No hesitation in rebooking. Excellent host."
