"Felt like being at a real hotel - nice room, comfy bed, good shower. Food in restaurant was good local wholesome food. The staff were absolutely excellent - helpful with anything we wanted. Best place we have stayed so far on our trip around Iceland!"

"Beautiful and romantic cottages in the woods of northern Iceland. Lovely furnishings with romantic touches like candles, bathrobes and bedding. Well kept, clean and fabulous outdoor hot tub. Plus very convenient to outstanding river rafting with Viking!"

"Helga was very gracious to work with. We arrived very late so she made arrangements so we could easily get into the space. It was clean and the beds were comfortable (something I always worry about when booking a place). The hot tub was one of our favorite things and we used it probably 5 or 6 times to just appreciate the cool night air and silence of the countryside. Sitting in the hot tub in the rain was honestly a very peaceful and cleansing sort of experience that we'll never forget."

"We stayed with two kids and it was great. Nice friendly staff and animals. We didn’t try the hot tub or sauna but they looked great and we saw others trying them out. Breakfast was good (especially the cakes!). Very close to Krokur (small town) and lots of activities nearby (horse riding, hot spa, turf houses)"

"The Kolkuós Guesthouse is a hidden gem! We really enjoyed the the quiet, secluded location right on the shore. The house is beautifully remodeled and furnished and very clean. Breakfast was amazing and served in the quaint dining room. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. The Kolkuós Guesthouse was by far our favorite place to stay on our trip to Iceland!"

"Amazing views. This place is about 15 minutes from Blonduos. Although they do serve breakfast here, there is NO dining option. You have e to go to town for food."
