"The hotel is undergoing renovation but that did not impact our stay. Old hotel that has been very grand in the past and is quite likely to be so again in the future. Very conveniently placed for the ferry port. Lovely promenade in front of the hotel. "

"What great service, Reception is so friendly and nothing is a problem. Breakfast is great, lots of fresh fruit and pastries. Really great hot chocolates and waffles. Rooms are beautifully done, the housekeeping staff take such care and have such fantastic attention to details. Definately a great place to stay. "

"We stayed in the family suite with 2 twins and one king bed. Very beautiful room with high ceilings and large bathroom. Great for our family of 3 adults. Location was fantastic and a quick walk to the main road, nice walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel has a very nice bar and restaurant. We had a great breakfast every morning. The chef and hostesses were very accommodating and pleasant to talk with. We were able to get into our room early as we arrived on a very early flight. We really appreciated the ability to check in early, since the room was ready. We loved our location and would highly recommend. "

"Excellent, friendly service from all the staff. The hotel was a long walk along the front from the ferry terminal but taxis were available outside on the street in front of the port. Very nice breakfast each morning which offered porridge, kippers and boiled eggs to order as well as cereal, pastries and full English. The room was lovely and clean with views over the sea front (we paid extra for the sea view) In the evening a gentle man was playing the piano in the bar which was pleasant while you had a drink or a bar snack. The restaurant served a small but very nice menu each evening. "
