"The house is a simple cottage but offers the perfect escape from the city and reconnect with nature. Each morning we ate our breakfast and drank coffee out on the verandah listening to the birds and looking out at the beautiful views and it so tranquil. "The location can’t be faulted, less than 10 mins drive from Mittagong and just over that to Bowral, on a gorgeous piece of land. The house itself was just stunning. Spacious rooms and plenty of breakout spaces, huge kitchen and dining table and the outlook over the farm was amazing. Very easy check in and check out process too. 10/10 would stay again!"

"We had a phenomenal weekend away with the extended family at Somerton. We enjoyed beautiful walks to see the cattle, admiring the stunning view, nights by the outdoor fire and playing tennis with the family. Judy and Grahman were exceptional hosts and we will most definitely be back again next year."

"Our family loved our weekend at Highlands Lake House. Sam was amazing to communicate with. Location stunning. House had great atmosphere. We loved the log fire and fire pit. Highly recommend. Only comment would be to Stayz that it would improve information for people with additional needs if you listed each accessibility feature rather than just a generic ‘wheelchair accessible’ comment. (Eg step free access to different areas including showers etc.) if you provided hosts with different...

"Loved the house, beautiful, warm, and cozy. Loved the surroundings, beautiful, lush green gardens and pastures, and the autumn coloured trees. Loved the night sky filled with stars. Loved sitting on the deck in the mornings, listening to the birds, and smelling the fresh mountain air. Loved collecting fresh eggs for breakfast in the morning. Loved the feelings of peace, rest, and joy experienced. Loved everything about this place and hope to come back."

"We love animals and this place had plenty of it. Ducks, Alpacas, Chickens, Birds and most importantly the 2 dogs Jonathan and Patrick who jumped into bed with us a couple of times and even dropped by for breakfast with our dog."

"My husband and I wanted to have a relaxing weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We’re so glad we booked to stay here. Everything was so easy! MIchael was very quick to respond to any question we had and does everything to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The house has a magnificent large open fire and big free standing bath. The beds and linen are very comfy. Michael is extremely respectful of privacy. We didn’t see him at all during our stay, but he made sure to fill the outside wood box...
