"Very nice, clean, and fun home. Moose Lake is quiet and remote. We enjoyed the fire pit, pool table, internet, game room, kitchen, deck, kayaks, and dock. Our kids enjoyed the beds, but I’m not a fan of the mattresses. Amazon soft mattresses from a box seem to be the norm now in rental homes. If you like that, you’ll be comfortable. My wife and I prefer firm mattresses. Fishing is solid… caught walleye from 10 - 17 inches. Also caught Muskie, northern, small mouth, and perch. I would not consider Moose Lake a swimming, tubing, skiing lake. The lake is shallow with a lot of stumps, etc. The water is dark as coffee. This is all good for walleye fishing:) However, the host provides a swimming mat which is cool.The home is remote, but we enjoyed the solitude. A couple good restaurants close by. JB moose shack is crazy good. It looks like a simple bar restaurant, but the food…. Steak… is delicious.The only downside is that it is a 40 minute drive to Hayward and you have to drive on gravel roads for awhile.If we rented a home on Moose Lake again, we will stay here for sure."
