Seaside House: Good Harbor Beach and the Back Shore right outside your door.

Location, location, location! This vacation home is large and comfortable and is just steps to the white sands and surf of Good Harbor Beach. The location offers the best of all worlds as it is so close to Cape Ann's most popular beach and also has water views of Bass Rocks. This dramatic rocky bit of coastline is a destination for those looking for views of the Atlantic at its most intense. The popular "Back Shore" walk is one of the most scenic walks on the eastern seaboard and the sidewalk begins in front of Seaside House and continues for 1.5 miles one way (or 3 miles round trip back to the house).

The front of the house has a full-length porch from which you can view the sea in comfortable shade and enjoy a beverage or meal in the fresh ocean breezes. From the porch, enter into the living room with a flat screen TV and plenty of seating. The adjoining den has a pullout sofa, a TV, and games, which makes the room serve double-duty as a kid (or adult) getaway or semi-private additional sleeping space. The recently renovated granite kitchen is eat-in and fully applianced. The butler's pantry offers more storage and prep space in addition to a half bath.

Upstairs are 4 bedrooms (3 of which are air conditioned) and two more full baths.The master bath offers an oversized jetted tub, double sinks and a separate glass-enclosed shower and the hall bath also has a full size jetted tub with a shower. The house will comfortably sleep 10 with enough room for your family and the folks that will want to visit you in this wonderful beach house. Leave your car in the driveway (and avoid the beach parking fees) and walk to Good Harbor Beach. The house has two other occupied units with separate entrances and parking.

Perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay. I do agree with the other reviewer that the amount of signs telling you what to do or not do is overwhelming. Some are helpful, so are completely not necessary. There is also people living in the basement and attic, but it was no big deal. We rarely saw them and never heard them, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It would also be nice if there was whole house A/C. Also the one room A/C constantly needed emptied. It was humid during our stay and the ocean breeze didn't really cut it. That being said, I would definitely stay here again. Plenty of room, very comfortable and clean. You can not beat this location! We walked to the beach frequently and it was so nice not to worry about parking. The beach was amazing. Bass Rocks in the front yard was so beautiful. The town was cute and there was plenty to do nearby. This is a great rental.

Gloucester, Rockport and Good Harbor Beach represent Christmas in July for my family and friends. We’ll be back in 2021.

We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the house served as a gathering place after the party and through out the week. The location was perfect and the views were amazing.

Great house. Clean with plenty of amenities. Location is great for walking to Good Harbor Beach and simply enjoying the views of the Atlantic from the front porch.

Perfect family vacation for 8 people

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived the place was very clean and there was an instruction book for us to follow, making it easy to know what to do with garbage and recyclables, the tv remotes, and how to leave the place upon departure. I met the owner who was very courteous and friendly. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs and one of them is very spacious with a king bed, air conditioning unit, tv, and large bathroom and double sink. The other had a queen and the other 2 had twin beds each. The kitchen is long and fairly wide too. We played games at the kitchen table every night. The house is stocked with about 100 dvd movies and has 2 tv's on the main floor. There were 2 folding tables we used on the porch for our dinners, along with the large glass table and 6 chairs that were already there. I couldn't have been more pleased with a stay at the beach than we were in this house. Had my family of 5 plus my parents and my mother-in-law. We had lobster dinners twice out on the spacious porch which overlooks the ocean. We also cook on the grilled 2 times! Loved our stay! Would do it again in a heartbeat if we can get enough people to fill the house. And it was seamless to make the transactions with the realty company too. They are very courteous.

It's worth it!

Reviewer Comments: Yes, the Seaside may be a little costly, but it was very much worth every penny of it! 5 minute walk to one of the best beaches in New England, clean, quiet, spacey, pretty, convienient, with all the gadgets and tools to feel at home. I recommend it. Only little dark side: the traffic that passes by regularely.

The location is perfect for a beach vacation. There were enough items to keep us supplied for the entire week. The games and entertainment equipment were great The staff was all very helpful and understanding of my needs. They make a wonderful team.
