"This is an older place so if you are looking for sparkling accommodation maybe not here. If you want a more traditional Japanese hotel this is a good choice. Great free breakfast. Private onsen by reservation. Free beer and noodles along with other snacks each evening from 4-6. Larger room than many Japanese hotels. The staff is fantastic. Free shuttle to the train station. Be aware if you are walking with luggage there is a major hill to climb. Call the hotel and they will send a car anytime...

Since it was late, it wasn’t possible to find another hotel, so we had to stay in the smoky “non-smoking” room. "New hotel. Only one year old as of December 2025. Room I had was small. OK for one but a squeeze for two. Onsen (bath) was very nice. Breakfast options are very limited unfortunately, even hotels I stayed at on this trip that were half the price of this hotel had more options. "
