Godmanstone: parish church of the Holy Trinity
The Smith's Arms - reputedly England's smallest pub The story goes that King Charles II stopped in Godmanstone and asked at the blacksmith's forge for a drink. The blacksmith responded that he had no licence to sell alcohol. "From now on, you have a licence to sell beer and porter," said the King. As you will see by looking at 376901, at 3 March 2007 it was no more.
Crete Bottom The valley separates the arable slopes of Magiston Hill from the pasture of Crete Hill. The tree is at the northeastern extremity of South Ground Plantation.
