"Friendly staff at check-in, great restaurant, clean rooms, beautiful scenery. Be aware there is a geothermal factory very close to the hotel and the pool is not as glamorous and large as it looks. There is nothing in the area but the hotel’s restaurant is very good, makes up for lack of dining options in the area. There is a hiking trail right behind the hotel."

"Ok. The hotel is quite worn on the outside, pool was dirty, one hot tub was not working, the second one was. Breakfast was ok, just a few offerings but the view was good. "This is a nice hotel. It is an easy location right off of the road. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a newer section, which was very clean and bright. We had a view of the river. The water pressure was great and the water was hot. An extra bonus was a heated floor in the bathroom and a heated towel rack. Much appreciated in the chilly Iceland weather. The room was spacious and the bets were comfortable. We definitely recommend this hotel."
