"A Hidden Gem in Reykjavík – Warm, Stylish, and Wonderfully Eco-Friendly We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Eyja Guldsmeden and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly. The gentlemen at the reception (sorry don't know his name - he was there on June 30 in the morning) went above and beyond to check us in earlier than hotels standard checking time and he gave us a room with the beautiful view that we enjoyed throughout the entire stay. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with cozy rooms and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed, soft linens, and the ocean view. The hotel’s commitment to sustainability is evident everywhere, yet it never compromises on comfort or quality. The location is also ideal – slightly tucked away from the busiest streets, which makes it peaceful at night, but still just a short walk to downtown Reykjavík and major attractions.
