"This home was absolutely perfect. I’m still obsessed with how comfortable the master bed was — honestly one of the coziest stays we’ve had. The whole house just felt warm and relaxing from the second we walked in. Everyone loved the ping pong table, and getting visits from June Bug the donkey and the Highland cow made the experience even more special. The only downside was not having enough time to fully enjoy the porch views and soak in all the coziness. We already want to come back, especially for a relaxing girls’ weekend!"

"What a beautiful getaway! Love the location, seculed and beautiful. Only a few minutes from downtown. The mountain roads can be intimidating, but give it a little gas and you'll be fine. The Saluda grade is right there if you are into railroad history. The cabin is charming and quaint. It's perfect for relaxing and the decks are great for reading a book. Everything you might need is there."

"Our overall impression of this place can be summed up in two words; absolutely amazing! These mountain retreats are a retreat in so many ways. The views are spectacular. I’m not a morning person, but I set the alarm for a little before sunrise and was not disappointed. We did beautiful time lapsed videos both days and it is almost surreal knowing you are just a few miles from Saluda, and yet you feel you’re being given your personal view to the calm and awe inspiring sunrise. And the dawn chorus from the birds adds to the beauty! Even the roosters crowing was fun to hear. As far as the cabin itself goes, it is so pleasingly decorated, very well supplied, clean and cozy, and everything has been provided for a fabulous stay. We tried to take advantage of all the things there were to do: we played a game of pool, sat out on the top balcony enjoying the views with a glass of wine, went to the bottom balcony when it rained, sat around the fire pit and watch the clouds and fog roll in, we slept in the comfy bed with the curtains open to see the sunrise from bed, coffee in hand. The couch is super comfy, the fireplace adds to the ambiance. The murals, the resin and timber dining table, the sunrise themed sliding doors, even the dishes all add to the feel of a wonderful mountain retreat. We can’t wait to go back again for a longer stay. And if you have a large family or a group, everyone will be satisfied with all the space and amenities. PS: The owners are a breeze to work with!"

"Very nicely equipped and decorated basement apartment! Very responsive hosts! Definitely a five star stay. We loved the hot tub and pool table, as well as the PAC-man game during our downtime. The snacks and waters were a nice surprise upon our arrival as well. Their cat Zipper was very sweet and a big hit with my daughter.One thing I would have liked to see the listing mention is that the owners/hosts do live on-site, upstairs. It wasn’t an issue and we never heard them and only saw them in passing once, while outside turning our car around in front of the house. I suspected the owners may live on-site and could have asked ahead of time, but it wasn’t a big deal to us, aside from being a bit concerned that our dogs might disturb them by whining or barking while we were away from the apartment for a family function that we couldn’t bring the dogs along for. I messaged to express my concern and the hosts were so gracious, assuring me that the insulation was very good and that they were sure it wouldn’t be an issue. I only mention it for those that might want a completely private property.I also want to thank the hosts for their sweet messages to our family about the purpose of our trip, which was for my father-in-law’s memorial/celebration of life. Very much appreciated!"

"The house was as described and looked exactly like the photos. The host was great at communicating and very prompt with answering any concerns I had. “Check-In” was simple, as just a door code was provided at check-in time. It is well decorated so there are plenty of photo opportunities. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for guests to have privacy. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils and supplies(trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher pods, etc)-even had a few seasonings. There is a dumpster on the trail; you have to take out all garbage upon checkout. The area is somewhat secluded, but very easy to find. Although there are several cabins, there is a lot of privacy, even if on the balconies at the same time. My friends and kids enjoyed the stay. I plan on visiting again and would definitely recommend to others. "
