"The best thing about this property was the staff, all were great, but one Zara was exceptional. Zara made our stay and others in my extended families stay notable. She took care of us from check-in to check-out, especially my grandnieces with special treats. Listen up Village Hotel Management, you have a gem in Zara and her customer service skills and empathy for guests should be taught to all staff. On this trip I stayed in six hotels from London to Paris to Amsterdam, but I can say that the Village Hotel stay was the second to none because of Zara. "

"We stayed here for one night prior to going on a cruise. Good location not far from the cruise terminal but in a quiet area with plenty of parking. Nice breakfast next morning. Only negatives are the early checkout time of 10am and the bar prices."

"Place is pretty basic and room is quite small but for the price can't complain. We only needed two nights stay in Southampton before a cruise trip and didn't need anything luxury. This place fit the bill and is super close to the cruise terminal and national express bus station."
