"My wife and I stayed for one night in a Standard Room with 1 King Bed and had a great experience overall.
The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to walk to York city centre, The Shambles, York Minster, the city walls and many other attractions. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, pubs, and international dining options nearby.
Our room was clean, tidy, and spacious enough for a couple. We particularly liked the framed artwork and decorations, which gave the room a unique character. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless, with useful features such as a heated towel rail.
The room was well equipped with thoughtful amenities including tea and coffee facilities, complimentary water, snacks, bathrobes, slippers, Wi-Fi, an iron and ironing board, a safe, and a mini fridge. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided.
The hotel was quiet throughout our stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We felt it offered very good value for money considering the location, quality of the room, and overall experience.
The only downside was the television. It was not connected to the internet and only offered a limited selection of traditional TV channels. Having access to streaming services or smart TV functionality would have improved our stay, especially in the evening after returning from exploring the city.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return on a future visit to York.
