"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"A truly excellent and charming location. A charming, independent garden outside with a fire pit, table, and chairs. The interior is even more magnificent, well-maintained, and above all, equipped with everything you need... meticulously crafted. The table that converts to a bed was a simple but brilliant idea, the bathroom is enormous for a cabin, and the stove is truly wonderful. The only downside is the very narrow road leading to it; unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it... but...

"I donâ€™t know if a review is needed as day 2 of our stay a for sale board appeared outside! Room sizes great. As November we didnâ€™t use the outside facilities. Kitchen was well equipped. The radiator in the family bathroom a friend burnt herself. It does get red hot so be careful. We struggled a bit with the heating as it was really cold at the beginning and then extremely warm. "What an absolute delight it was to stay in such an historic, enchanted building. Simon the proprietor was warm, friendly and welcoming as were all the staff. The entire place was just oozing with character and personality. Being a well travelled veteran of various suites globally, I would personally rank " The Tree Inn" as one of the most memorable I have ever stayed in. Will most certainly be back."

"An initial, disappointing start to our stay was quickly remedied, quietly, politely and professionally. From then on everything was so much better. The Hotel is probably a little understaffed (a reflection of the economic strains of current hospitality?) so often a Team member had to be searched out but once found were polite, attentive and friendly. Our room, a late booking so limited choice, was compact but nevertheless comfortable with an excellent rain shower in the bathroom and a good view of the river. We found a delightful lounge on the first floor from which we could watch the world go by as the river ebbed and flowed whilst enjoying the occasional glass of beer, or two!! Dinner on each night was a lovely occasion in a stylish dining room, well cooked food, nicely presented and served by delightful staff."

"Most enjoyable stay, the room we had was spacious and beautifully decorated with a view of the river, and the bed was the softest we had ever slept in! Staff were really lovely and helpful, and made us feel very welcome from the beginning of our stay. Breakfast was especially good but the main menu was somewhat limited although of high quality, There was a small car park on site, and plenty of on-road parking although this was very busy during the day. However there was a large quay-side carpark opposite the hotel so there were no problems with parking. Will definitely return and cannot recommend them highly enough."
