Nice hotel but no bar or restaurant in off-season

The hotel itself is nice enough but after a long day's travelling, we were very annoyed to find out that neither the bar nor the restaurant are open in the off-season so rather than an evening relaxing at the hotel, we had to go into the nearest village where we were lucky enough to find a bar where the landlord was willing to cook us a nice but basic meal to go with a few drinks. The advertised bar and restaurant was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel - we would definitely have gone elsewhere had we known.
