Clean, convenient, friendly staff. Good breakfast (don’t miss the granola or the ginger shots) and excellent cappuccino machine. Comfortable bed and big, nice pillows. Parking was a bit difficult to find (it’s next to hotel and you have to drive up on sidewalk to enter using the app — pre-paid spot). Enjoyed the gym and sauna/relax room. Mon-Fri there’s a free boat across the street into city center.

It was amazing, on the first night the night receptionist Omar/Umar was so kind, so helpful, funny and professional. Fredric the next day helped me with my requests and made sure I was comfortable. I will be visiting again.

Wonderful hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff. They were certainly the highlight and reason for returning. Only downside was not having a bedside table and socket/usb-c plus to charge phone. Made it very uncomfortable and inconvenient. Besides this, it was a wonderful stay and we really enjoyed our experience :)

Had a great stay at Clarion Hotel - The Pier. Clean spacious room for 3 adults. We had a beautiful view of the downtown. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good restaurants within walking distance near hotel and easy access to downtown via bus or ferry (free at certain times). Gym was well equipped and sauna was great (robe and slippers provided). Customer service was excellent. Kajsa and Karen at front desk were exceptional - very helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I’m sure the hotel runs fine at any other time of the year. But sadly I stayed for 7 nights during the Gothia cup. The hotel was clearly at capacity and hadn’t recruited accordingly. I had to ask reception how often they change towels as by day 4 I hadn’t had them changed. The receptionist told me they’d pay more attention to my room. I was left without toilet paper twice. The worst part was the unsupervised children. I regularly saw families waiting their turn to complain about the bad behaviour but unfortunately the hotel didn’t have the facilities to deal with it. In future the hotel really should think about a security guard in the evenings to patrol the hallways to avoid the worst kids ruining everyone’s stay. It wouldn’t take much to remedy and I hope for next year they make some changes.

I've stayed at the Clarion a few times for business trips and always enjoy it. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the hotel is clean and has nice amenities, and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. It's not in the most convenient of places but the ferry is right nearby and it's easy for taxis to find.

Switched to this hotel and was absolutely glad I did. Right from the entrance I was welcomed and helped by Vanna who was great. Easy check in and was told about all the amenities of the hotel and area. The room was outstanding and very comfortable, maybe the best bed I’ve slept on from any hotel ive stayed at. The restaurant was great and free breakfast was amazing. Front desk was always present and helpful. Great location as it was super easy to get anywhere I wanted to go and felt very safe. I would definitely stay here next time I’m back in Gothenburg.

Das Hotel an sich ist wirklich okay, es ist nur leider völlig abgelegen. Drumherum ist NICHTS! Die Dachterrasse konnte ich leider nie besuchen, da sie jedesmal geschlossen war. Das Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt. Leider weder ein Schrank, noch ein Safe vorhanden. Zum Frühstück gab es Mikrowellen-Rührei und -Speck, das geht leider so gar nicht für ein Haus dieser Preisklasse. Kurzum: Es gab Licht, aber auch viel Schatten.
