My stay at French Leave was amazing, despite the hiccups encountered on property. There were outages that affected several villas and I was moved to another villa, after encountering some problems. There were issues with wifi and cable issues that stemmes from the service providers. These were my only issues as I sometimes like staying inside and relaxing. The beach at the property is gorgeous and the resort gives you a golf cart upon checking in for getting around. The food at the restaurant on property was excellent and the staff are very attentive and hospitable. I would stay again.

Service excellent Room and facilities clean GM helpful and friendly Paddle board was fun easy and included Registration team helpful and friendly One dining option (1948) restricts variability of meal time Wifi spotty prevented some work access Gym nice but both treadmills broken? Would be helpful to have non dairy options for coffee… almond or Soy or oat milk This is NOT a French Leave comment but…. Most flights into ELH not GHB makes drive to/from airport very onerous. Any feedback that been given to airlines / govt about this would drive more traffic to French Leave

The pro’s: Beautiful rooms, great views, was so fun having your own golf cart to get to the beach, staff was helpful when needed and very nice, best beach in the area, beautiful pool.

Loved the French leave. Rooms were very comfortable with nice balconies overlooking the water. The beach is across the road but they give each room their own personal golf cart. Friendly staff. Very relaxing.

There is nothing compare with this place. I came for my fifty’s years celebration. The hotel is wonderful, the food is excellent. The bread pudding is the beast. The beachfront is incredible. This is like traveling to another planet.

The staff is amazing, everyone is super personable. The hotel room was very nice. The only thing I wasn’t prepared for were the mosquitoes and flies, next time I’m bringing a can of Off.

Excellent Hotel / Weather wasn't great though

We just returned from French Leave last week - the hotel and service really were excellent. Our room / cottage was lovely, newly renovated and perfect for our 4 night stay. Clean / safe / enticing. The weather in January isn't great in the Bahamas, so be warned - it was cool, windy and raining on most days - of course this isn't something the hotel can control, however we wanted to go into the hot tub and it didn't work. The pool and ocean were too cold, so we wanted to go into the hot tub but it barely hit 80 degrees (water temp). It was VERY disappointing. When we are paying so much money each day, I'd expect and hope that the hot tub would work. It didn't seem like this was a new issue, but every guest who we spoke with acted like they were told it just broke too. All of this being said, management offered us free breakfast, so we appreciated this greatly. But still, would have LOVED to be able to use the hot tub!!

Amazing hotel property, beautiful location and rooms are exquisite. All the team is super friendly and nice, only bear in mind when in the Caribbean, need to get used to Caribbean times as your requests may take a bit longer than expected.

A+ on location, staff & accomodations!

Beach and pool are perfect. Staff was excellent and made our stay so fun. Our private cottage was lovely and comfortable; came with a golf cart to get around on property. You still need to rent a car to get around off property. Food and drinks were very good but expensive since everything has to be brought in. Nice, quiet & relaxing environment. We're going back!

quiet and relaxing retreat

perfect type of vacation of you want to get away and relax...its certainty quieter than say a Nassau vacation but very enjoyable. the room are individual bungalows. there arent many, perhaps 20 or so and most looked brand new. our room had a direct view to the ocean (Caribbean side)..the beach is on the Atlantic side. they provide you with a golf cart to ride around the resort and to/from the beach. restaurant was good quality and many healthy options. staff was very friendly. the gave plenty of courtesy drinks and treats while there and i didn't feel nickle and dimed all the time as with other Caribbean resorts...seemed over all i spent about half of what i normally would at atlantis between resort and food
