Spectacular Beachfront House w/Htd. Pool on Famous French Leave Beach

"Any closer and I would be in heaven" is the wooden sign that hangs outside The Beach House. The interiors reflect island life with island style, a mixture of the old and new. Original one-of-a-kind pieces adorn this wonderful beach home. Vaulted ceilings, glass doors that step out onto a fabulous (and enormous) deck, and a view of the most breathtaking pink-sand beach lends itself to the ultimate island getaway. Step off the deck onto the amazing beach and walk into the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

The Beach House has a beautiful pool with ocean views. The pool can be heated, if desired, for a charge of $350 per week.

The Beach House is located directly on French Leave Beach, a mile-long crescent of pink sand that has been ranked top 20 in the world. It is located on the prestigious Banks Road of Governors Harbour, the premier location on Eleuthera. The town of Governors Harbour, with restaurants, groceries stores, shops, and banks, is only a mile away.

The Beach House has just been totally renovated (work completed in August of 2016). A mixture of modern and rustic beach living is the decor and theme throughout. Concrete counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a double commercial sink are part of the modern and well equipped kitchen. The dining table built from reclaimed island wood comfortably seats eight with additional seating for four at the kitchen island. The living area with its white couches and hand-crafted island straw mats looks out through a wall of glass onto the deck and French Leave Beach beyond. Relax outside on the beach-view veranda swinging day beds.

The Beach House has three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have king beds with ocean and beach views. The third bedroom has a king bed which can be converted to two twins (please request in advance) with a tropical garden view.

The house is fully air conditioned and every room has ceiling fans.

The large outdoor deck is the perfect place to watch the sunrise in the morning, sunbathe through the day, or enjoy a relaxing, tranquil afternoon. Equipped dining and lounging spaces and a gas grill, it is the ultimate getaway.

With its vast veranda and direct beachfront location, the Beach House is ideal for hosting weddings and other events. Additional charges may apply for events.

Amenities at The Beach House include air conditioning throughout, wifi, TV with a Firestick (no cable), a washer and dryer, three kayaks, paddle boards and a gas grill.

I would buy this house

For 25 years, my family has stayed at a beautiful, private resort in the BVI. We counted the days from the moment we left until we’d return the next year. This year, new spouses and grandchildren made our group too big to go back, so we decided to rent a house on an island as quiet as the one we loved. We chose Eleuthera because few people lived there and it there’s been hardly any development. I had several requirements: authentic island decor; a prefect, pristine beach; resort amenities like beach chairs, a palapa, snorkel gear and kayaks. And last, a staff that would cook great food and make us feel at home. We got it all. Our host, Michelle, was fantastic in every way and made sure our two weeks were perfect. We had the same feeling at the end we had at our long-time resort: don’t make us go.

The property was just perfect for our group of 6. Although we cooked very little, everything we needed was already there. Plenty of dishes, pans and even quite a few spices/condiments. The pool is showing it's age and could use a little TLC, but other than that, everything was just as nice as we imagined by the pictures online. The beach is as perfect as they come and we enjoyed all of the floats, kayaks and chairs provided. We will totally stay at The Beach House again and highly recommend to anyone that is searching for the perfect vacation getaway!

A Week in Paradise

We were a group of three couples, all active seniors in need of the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty and pace of Eleuthera. As soon as we arrived, after a frustrating trip from Nassau on unreliable puddlejump airline, we realized that it was all worth it. Everything was perfect. The interior of the Beach House had everything we could need. The beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels and beach towels, and the kitchen well was provisioned. Outside, by the pool there are sun areas, areas to dine and a wonderful shaded area with 2 large built in sofas. Just feet away, down the steps past the outdoor shower with hot and cold water, is the short path to the most magnificent beach. There is a thatched shade area with 6 reclining chaises that look out onto the water. Walks on the beach, swimming, reading and naps in the shaded pavilion were the best cure for a long winter in the Northeast. If only we could have stayed and avoided the return to ice and snow! We would all love to return. The owner, Michelle, is gracious and we frequented her restaurant, The Buccaneer, several times. Highly recommend.

Beach House Bliss

This was our first visit to Eleuthera and it did not disappoint! The house is located on one of the most stunning beaches on the island with views to die for! The Beach House is well equipped and had everything we needed for a wonderful and relaxing stay. Great quality cookware and sharp knives were a lovely surprise as most rentals tend to lack in that area. Plenty of dinnerware and glassware etc. There is a 5 gallon water dispenser which was fantastic. Bedrooms were spacious and we found the beds super comfortable. Plenty of towels and extra linens if needed. The outdoor space was wonderful and lots of little spots to hang out in. There is a “covered patio” that provides shelter from the elements and is a great place to take nap, sip coffee or enjoy a cocktail. Recommend heating the pool in the “winter” months as the ocean can be cool and it’s a treat to warm up in the pool after a day in cooler waters. Plenty of lounge chairs, beach toys and “extras”! The No-See-Ums are NO joke. Bug spray is a must as well as long sleeves/pants at dusk/dawn. The house is newly equipped with a generator! Power did go out briefly and it was great having the generator kick on! Michelle is a fabulous hostess. She was extremely communicative and readily available when needed. They say “Eleuthera is not for everyone!”…. However, it definitely captured our hearts! It was hard leaving the island and we are already planning our return trip.

It Seemed Like A Wonderful Dream!

She had been to the Bahamas as a teenager but I've never actually even been out of the country.We used Google Maps and YouTube videos to scour the coastlines of every country. After two years we settled on the Island we felt had the best beaches, Eleuthera.After deciding where to go we began our HUNT for the perfect place to stay. I can honestly say I scoured the Island for our PERFECT place. We definitely found it, The Beach House.The Beach House was even better than the photos and French Leave Beach was stunningly beautiful. The water on French Leave is as clear as the water in The Beach House's pool. If you are looking for a pink sand beach we never saw another beach that was any more pink. Everything about the house and the beach was better than we could have wished for. There are no words to describe how happy we were with everything.The owner, Michelle, sends a letter after you rent the house with directions and additional information (right down to a suggestion on renting a car). They are there to greet you and roll out the red carpet. She and her family are great. Eleuthera Vacation Rentals was very helpful throughout the whole process as well. We worked with Matt and the tips and advice he gave were spot on. The Beach House is one minute from Governor's Harbour but seems totally isolated. The Buccaneer Club Restaurant (our favorite) was three minutes from the house and Tippy's was only three minutes in the other direction. The Beach House is also centrally located and was a great base for our journeys to both the northern and southern ends of the island.The people of the island were incredibly welcoming and always friendly. We are from a small town and the island definitely has that vibe.If you are dreaming about taking this trip and this house

This is our family of 5 w/ 3 grown children, fourth trip and we will Never Stay Anywhere Else! We have found our home away from home @ The Beach House with the MOST wonderful host we have ever experienced in Michelle. There is no better location than French Leave Beach and this home makes you feel like you're in a movie. It has everything you could possibly need for your beach vacation. Well stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. AMPLE beach & bath towels. Every beach toy you can think of for adults, teens, & little ones. The covered beach shelter is amazing and a welcomed respite from the sun. We look forward to our next stay. Our only goal is to stay for 2 weeks this time.

Any matters of concern were immediately addressed. Overall, our week was wonderful and we will definitely return. Our only complaint which mirrors our comments from last year are the bed pillows. The bed and bath linens are super, but the pillows themselves need to be medium firm down with the option of a guest to ask for foam instead of what is provided. Renee woke up on day one with a stiff neck.
